At some of the comments about Blanc being average.

Anyway, as I thought before Mexes, as good as he is, is unfortunately too slow to play the highline. Koscielny and Rami are the solution, dammit. Should have also gotten Toulalan for a DM spot. He'd work so well with Diarra anchoring the Defense against Spain. I prefer him over M'Vila anyway.

Is me or this anti football from France is not working, simple because they dont have a no 10 and none of their wingers make runs. Imv counter attacking is best way forward against Spain. They have enough players to trouble them on the counter, Benz, BenArfa, Ribery, Nasri etc.

Should have taken Gourcuff as well.

Gourcuff wasn't good enough even against Iceland. Wouldn't have done France any favors nor himself any justice.

As for Mexes...he's lost a good deal of pace after that injury. I think that's what's really behind the poor displays. pre-injury, I definitely believed he could play a high line, but now....I think Kjaer could've done better . The same is true though...play Mexes in a deeper backline that relies more on tactical awareness over pace and he'll boss.

Gourcuff is crap and if the Sweden match has told has anything that Cabaye is one of the first names on the teamsheet....

As i said earlier he is France's piggy.... he improves the cover the defence gets from the midfield tenfold, the link play improves tenfold and he's the only one breaking beyond Benzema when he drops deep.

If Cabaye does'nt start against Spain then France dont stand a chance.

Thing is he's playing no different to how he plays for Madrid.... he's always dropping ridiculously deep....

Key difference Madrid have Ronaldo, Higuian and even Di Maria taking up the space he vacates.

The only one who even seems remotely interested in doing this is Cabaye.

This is mostly for Mole's benefit.... according to L'Equipe, there was a heated discussion between Blanc and Ben Arfa after the Sweden game. Ben Arfa even suggested that he be sent home. No insults were thrown around.

There was a similar exchange between Blanc and Nasri.

I don't see either Nasri or Ben Arfa playing the next game unless Blanc is forced to. My projected lineup

Yeah i heard he was angry about being subbed off saying that there's been a lot worse players than me and including Nasri as an example....

I did'nt watch the game but i heard Ben Arfa only had 32 touches of the ball and Nasri was hesistant to pass to him....

Which i do believe watching the two games prior because Nasri seemed hesistant to pass the ball forward at all.

If this is true i do understand why Ben Arfa is so frustrated but possibly he should'nt make such a big deal out of it but he's not that type of guy if he's frustrated he will usually let you know.

Been fine for us, no one has a bad word to say about him.... even during the months when he was on the bench he was fine.
