it only has a bad effect on players who never improved their behavior. and if you want to talk about how they are booed, you should also mention how much their are cheered for their efforts.

It's a love/hate relationship, the way you make it sound is like the fans boo all the time and never cheer, which is highly untrue.

Very disappointed to read stuff like that. Footballers arent deities, and for someone who has followed spanish football as long as you did, dont pretend not to know how the end of R9 in madrid fans. The fans expect to see the players compete, not divas walk around the pitch just to collect their pay check. You cant mock madrid for having divas, and then blame the fans for booing those divas when they deserve it.

none is making it sound like that, it simply sounds like it is

idiotic vigilante mentality where the supporters feel they can improve a players work ethic but rather reflects bad on us and makes us a worse home team

we shouldnt mention how they are cheered for their efforts because any other home stadium and all their players are cheered for their efforts and gets little frack for their worst displays. its nothing special about it and thats how it should be

What you say is right in general, but the people going to the games also have that voice. The players need to get used to it, that's the way it is, it doesnt mean that they hate him, it means that they expect more from him.

Also, about Di Maria, he has a bad relationship with the fans, so it counts for a lot. He wasnt the only one playing badly out there, but he was the only one taken apart by the fans.

Never understand why men talk about the fans in the stadium like they are no different from the guy who posts how much their new manager sucks or what player is garbage on a forum. Anyway...

The Bernabeu is not a place for the lazy and unproductive. You do not have to score every game, that is foolishness but they do expect the player to represent the shirt with dignity and with a certain level of consistency. Contrary to clear popular belief, the Bernabeu knows and understands football quite well and appreciates good football (see the applause for Del Piero and Dinho). R9 got booed deservedly, yes, I wrote that, the great Ronaldo at the time deserved to get booed.

And I would not lie, Di Maria has gone too long being mediocre and the Bernabeu read him the Riot act.

I think its alright to a certain degree to boo players if they have shitty attitude and effort, that they can control.

I didnt watch the game, but I have never seen Di Maria cheat anyone for effort. So I assume he got boo'ed based on bad performances...thats not right in my opinon.

Fans pay their money though and they have that right none the less.

Like i said earlier, beyond what happens on the pitch, Di maria has entertained a rather bad relationship with the fans this year as well.

Anyway, things are only gonna go worse since when he came off, he grabbed his balls, and now everybody is saying that he insulted the fans. Angel after said he was relieving his balls but too late, public apology requests are being issued as we speak on late sports talk shows around madrid Laughing

The only times fans are justified booing is if the player behaves badly on the pitch or dogs it. Di Maria did neither. If the fans feel like booing someone, boo Carlo. He's the one who chose to play Di Maria. Angel tried hard ... and failed mostly, i agree. But he did play hard.

Personally, i never understood making the effort to go to a game and then boo players for no reason... makes no sense. If you're unhappy, spill your frustrations on a message board lol... but not at the stadium ffs.
