He is overrated to some extent.

Great talent, no doubt. Can become a top 10 player. But people are comparing him to Messi and calling him the new Pele. To me that's overrated

nobody is calling him the new pele and the only ones comparing him to messi are Pele and goal.com tbh...

Get passed a player, the attack seem promising, now someone touch him and he is in the ground rolling over and over and the whole attack stopped, every attack is the same, over and over again, every time.

he has terrific ball control and dribbling, terrific shot technique and accuracy.

but he is a fly. if he bulks up it will cause him to loose of the agility, pace and acceleration.

he doesnt have that messi like acceleration and pace, but he has that messi like agility. he is not athletic enough.

Just stop comparing Messi and Neymar, Neymar should be compared with Lucas Moura etc. those who are still in Brazil not proven in Europe.

Let's see if he can maintain his ability against some European defenders.

Neymar has so much skill and talent its unbelievable. He does things with the ball I didnt even think were possible. Sure hes unproven but I dont think theres any way so much talent will just dissappear because hes facing European opposition

football is more then just tricks, people just dont understand that.

well the OP is comparing him to Pelle, so why not compare him to current player with the same position.

I never called him overrated, people did, i think he is an exceptional player, around the same level as hazard and co young players. there arent many players to compare him to.

I think on youtube, we can clearly see that Nerman makes quality runs as well, drives his whole team forward, runs the counter very well, scores goals and assists as well #justsaying
