I think on youtube, we can clearly see that Nerman makes quality runs as well, drives his whole team forward, runs the counter very well, scores goals and assists as well #justsaying

By logic. closely watch both of them, you'd understand Neymar can reach higher speed than Messi in a long sprint.

Over 100m, like the length of the pitch Messi isnt that fast. Abidal, Dani Alves and Adriano all faster im quite sure. Nobody ever runs that distance for that long so its dont really matter.

Over 0-5m, nobody is as quick, 5-15 very few that quick.

Neymar and Messi in a 50m race? I would likely bet on Neymar.

The difference in speed between Messi in Neymar is simple.

In a 40 yard dash I would bet on Neymar.

With the ball at there feet not running in a straight line (which is football) no one is as fast as Messi.

Messi loses almost no speed with the ball at his feet at that's what makes him great.
