Roma's Doni 'happy to join Liverpool'
Roma goalkeeper Alexander Doni’s agent has confirmed “talks with Liverpool. Doni would be very happy to join Liverpool.”
The Brazilian shot-stopper, who in the last two years has been first, second and even third choice at the Olimpico, is available for around £1m.
“I spoke to the club [Roma] yesterday [Tuesday] and they confirmed they are holding talks with Liverpool to reach an agreement regarding the transfer of Doni,” agent Ovidio Colucci told The Guardian.
“Once an agreement is reached between the two clubs, we will begin negotiating personal terms with Liverpool.
“Doni would be very happy to join Liverpool and play in the Premier League.”
The shot-stopper had been benched under Claudio Ranieri in favour of Julio Sergio, but when Vincenzo Montella took over mid-season his first move was to reinstate Doni.
The 31-year-old has been at Roma since moving from Juventude in 2005 and his contract expires in June 2012.

Menez laughs off Milan links
Jeremy Menez has been heavily linked with a move to Milan, but his agent insists he wants “a renewal with Roma.”
The French creative midfielder has struggled for consistency at the Stadio Olimpico, especially under Vincenzo Montella.
It fuelled reports he would follow Philippe Mexes to the Rossoneri this summer.
“For the moment, Menez is staying at Roma,” agent and brother Kevin Menez told Radio Manà Manà.
“I read so many stories that he already has a deal with Milan, but the truth is that he is happy at Roma and does not want to leave here.
“It’s true, his contract only has one more year left to run, but it is up to the directors to discuss a renewal with my brother.”
Frenchman Menez has also been linked with Antonio Conte’s new Juventus.
One day: I would be happy to join Milan they are a great team etc etc
Next day: this.

Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours
I've certainly heard of him and watched him quite a bit with Bologna.
He's not worth 10 mill imo...
But still a a good emerging midfield talent. Can run for days, links attack and defense quite well....he could be our Busquets...minus the diving and shameful play-acting.
But not for 10 mil...

Sabatini: "We want Erik Lamela at all costs. I'll be honest, we also got Luis Enrique because he speaks Spanish and could help Lamela."

-Scored 10 goals in 19 appearances last season for Velez, inclucing a hat-trick in a 6-0 rout of Colon.
- Shared the Argentine Footballer of the year award with Messi in 2010
- Has 1 cap for Argentina and that was against Portugal back in January where he won a penalty that Messi converted.

Bojan agent: 'Roma a perfect marriage'
Bojan Krkic’s agent has confirmed the Barcelona star could follow Luis Enrique. “With Roma it’s a match made in heaven.”
The Spain international youngster was linked with a move to the Stadio Olimpico this week after they snapped up their new Coach.
“Bojan to Roma? It’s a match made in heaven. I see this as a perfect marriage,” agent Zoran Vekic told Radio Mana Mana.
Other Barca talents are said to be on Luis Enrique’s list for Roma, including Thiago Alcantara and Jeffren.
However, Bojan is also of interest to another Serie A side.
He has been linked with Udinese as part of Barcelona’s move to Alexis Sanchez.

If Barca get Cesc ( Which i think they will ) I could see us getting Thiago on a loan deal...He's supposed to be the next Xavi from what iv heard...
And about Bojan as i said in the other thread im not sold on him tbh ...We cant afford to go splashing big money on a player who could very well flop in Serie A ..Maybe a loan with an option to buy ,would be safer imo..

I would be all for that. I think he's a good player, but he needs consistency. But I'd rather get a winger before going for a striker. Isla's name popped back up a few days ago.

Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours
Roma begin to build Luis Enrique’s team with interest in Porto defender Rolando and AZ Alkmaar goalkeeper Sergio Romero.
The Giallorossi presented director of sport Walter Sabatini to the media on Friday and he set out plans for the new squad.
According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, they are already in advanced negotiations with Porto for defender Rolando.
The centre-back is seen as the ideal replacement for Philippe Mexes, who joined Milan on a free transfer.
Rolando was spotted in Rome last week on vacation, but the newspaper suggests he was also holding talks for the move.
“If Porto had wanted to keep him, then they would’ve extended his contract to 2015,” added agent João Josè Silva.
The Lupi have also set their sights on a new goalkeeper, as they have reportedly agreed a fee with Liverpool for Alexander Doni.
The replacement will also be South American, as they have targeted AZ Alkmaar and Argentina shot-stopper Sergio Romero.

Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours
Yeah that's true.
I think the project we're building here interests him a bit more though. Would be an awesome signing as he's very, very good defender....just as good as Mexes.

I haven't seen much of Rolando so I don't have much to say about him. The Alvarez deal does seem to be advancing quickly, with a report saying that we're getting closer to signing him.
