Real Madrid to bid for AC Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic - report
Real Madrid are studying the possibility of a January move for AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Corriere dello Sport claims.
The Sweden international spent the 2008-09 season under the now-Madrid coach Jose Mourinho at Inter, before trying his luck in Spain at Barcelona.
The Portuguese boss has always considered Ibrahimovic as one of the best strikers in the game, with a reunion between the pair mooted as a likely scenario for some time.
And with Madrid lacking numbers up front, reports in Italy suggest Mourinho has asked the club's president, Florentino Perez, to put together a bid for the 30-year-old in the winter transfer window.
Earlier in the month, Ibrahimovic confessed he was considering an early retirement after growing tired of the game, but the possibility of finally making his mark in Spain after a modest stint at Barca could be enough to prompt a change of heart.

Well, this purchase depends on if we want La Liga more or CL more.
I'm pretty sure all of us Madridistas want La Decima more than La Liga, so bai bai Ibra.
Or, we could buy him, chuck him in Castilla and guarantee promotion to Segunda Division.
BTW, if Ibra joins, he'd have played for all the major rivals in Italy and Spain.
That surely will be a betrayal record.

At the moment maybe but definitely not in a few years time.
Ibra is really good but I don't think Madrid need him and Milan probably won't sell him till he's 35 anyway.
Although the potential LULZ if Ibra goes to Madrid are quite high. Can you imagine what pre-clasico press confrences would be like with Ibra? LOL

Nick: ''we never were interested"
I would change him for Higuain+Khedira, yeah I am greedy. Look at this: Mou is in bad relationships with Khedira, plus DDR will be available in summer. Benzema and Neymar taking Higgy's place

Re: Real Madrid to bid for AC Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic - report
The sad thing about this is that regardless whether this rumor is true or not, if we did sign ibrahimovic, he wud be the undisputed starter becuz he is exactly wut mou thinks he absolutely needs: a tall targetman cf. Last season still burning in my memory. wtf does he need targetman cfs for?! we never needed a targetman cf!
Re: Real Madrid to bid for AC Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic - report
last season was different. el pipa was injured and benzema was just getting back his form
if mou was really desperate in a targetman he would have bought ade for the cut off price not wait another season to buy a player who is on a 10+ mill contract

The difference is that Ibra is actually NOT a targetman while he is more of a #10 player in which he is a creative fulcrum and goalscorer of his team.
Playing him as CF would limit his abilities.

"he is more of a #10" - have you noticed that maybe he has to shoulder a #10 burden because Milan (barring Seedorf) pack their midfield with DMs who cannot create for shiz. It doesn't make him a #10 to continuously have to go fetch the ball in the midfield, just a frustrated CF. This is why players like Cassano and Aquilani are important to Milan- because they can take some of the pressure off Ibra. Quite honestly I feel he is more dangerous when he can operate on the edge of the 18 yard box, not building the play from scratch at the halfway line.
Mind you, Benzema is also great on the edge of 18 yard box and inside it, so thanks but no thanks, you can keep him.

Actually Gio, I wasn't even referring to his Milan career.
Allegri now has finally put Ibra in the position he excels at and prefers right after his recent injury as if you observe him now, he will be playing the definitive number 10 role for Milan.
Last season his job was a CF but he dropped deep and created. But, the reason he did so is simply because he is that efficient in that role and prefers the freedom even when we had Pirlo creating deeper.
What I referred to was his position in Ajax, Juve (although he played more of a CF there) Inter (Pure 10) and of course, Sweden, where his role seems to be more to create then to score, as the latter is a definite.
Benz? Like Ibra, he should not be limited to a CF/S role as Higgy should be there while Benz given the free false 9 role Imo

Mourinho excuse to Florentino: ''Floren, i think our chances against Barca in the Champions League are not much greater than last year.''
Perez: ''Let's get Ibra. Another Galactico to the team = more shirt sales, revenue higher = win win''
