brazil are average, theyve shown nothing. but because of their nationality and desperation, ganso / neymar etc are eleveated to this stupid level without doing anyhting of note v reasonable competition.
argentina bottle everything just like england but theyll be seen as major contenders, well get threads about how theyve improved etc only to fall against the same type of team...every time. but hey, everyone lives in the international delusion world for a while..so theyre all happy.
bar spain because of barca, every other international match isnt about finding the best teams, its finding the team thats slightly less ill prepared than other international teams.
club football is the elite, you work as a team, well drilled and are a well oiled machine. you could be from a poor country [ football wise] ala etoo and through sheer talent become a generational great. he wouldnt have the chance internationally

You can try to talk down International football as much as you want, but in the end more people watch and enjoy international football than club football. From what I read, even the women's football world cup 2011 had a far bigger TV audience here in Germany than the CL matches (and that's why German TV stations decided to show all the women's NT matches now - people actually love to watch NT matches here). And that's because it was a World Cup and international games. Stuff like that draws far more viewers than everything else.

Kenny Dalglish was on similar level probably even better than Best considering how much Liverpool dominated in that era unlike United of 60's but that doesnt make him as big a legend as Pele or Maradona or even Cruyuff in football history.

As long as u dont perform in world cup (whatever the reason) u wont be considered among legends like Pele or Maradona in football history.Yes they are club legends but if they dont do it in world cup they will only remain just that.

The only difference from old times to now is due to media coveraqge even if u flop in world cup u will still be well known among fans all over the world but still in 20 or 30 years they wont be remembered among the likes of Pele's Maradona's and Cryuff's of the world which is a fact.

I don't think Cyber realizes the amount of gloryhunting there actually is in Asia and how 1 in 15 Indian fans actually know more then 5 players in the sqaud for United.

Brazil is simply the international support for India/Asia while United is the common club support.

Difference? Usually if not 95% of the time, most of the asians don't have a clue on whats actually going on with both.

I know some of the asians here will know what I'm talking about.

United made the gloryhunting term popular.

Hence, the thousands of United fans jumping ship to Barca in 2008
