Re: Espanyol Vs Real Madrid
im just saying that Callejon isnt reliable enough to substitute ozil yet,so no reason to rest him now.benz or di maria should be used instead to substitute him.Turok_TTZ wrote:Ganso wrote:since when is di maria brazilian?futbol_bill wrote:Ganso wrote:callejon is unreliable, lets wait for di maria to rest ozil
Is it just the brasilans that impress you? Callejon was the best player we had out there in the one half game that he played.
stop being biased,Calejon is unreliable.
why are ye defending di maria? callejon > di maria anyways.
And come on,Di Maria isnt that bad

Re: Espanyol Vs Real Madrid
lol Di Maria > Callejon overall.
ATM though it's a coin toss.
This argument is moot anyway since Callejon is a reserve and once Mou is here Di Maria will always be a starter/sub.
Really though you guys are hatin on Di Maria for this slump. In about 2 months you'll all love him again.

lass is starting i hear. .
I never liked di maria tbh. though i did defend him when he was doing good. too bad he has been consistently bad since the start of preseason.

Re: Espanyol Vs Real Madrid
GET READY TO WARM THE BENCH BENZ!
But in all seriousness we have 2 absolute top class CF's at Madrid.
Almost a crime not to play both.
It will be interesting to see if Pipita can carry on this form when Benz is back from injury, although i suspect mou would start benz anyways.
And agree CR7 was a good boy today
He probs thought Messi didn't score today so i'll rack up a couple assists in stead.
And Iker was great tonight.

Callejon and Granero should get more minutes. Arbeloa should be a starter from now on.

I think they should stick with Di Maria , he's shown the talent and work ethic to get out of this slump.
Arbeloa should definitely be a starter.
Granero , as much as I love him , is not going to get much minutes. Corentrao + Lass +Sahin+Khedira means very little place for him.

Re: Espanyol Vs Real Madrid
Arbeloa is and has for the past 2 seasons been our most defensively solid fullback. The only explanation I can see for him not beeing our starting RB is that Pepe and Carvalho don't have any contest at CB, and Ramos... well, who would bench Ramos?

The best moment I saw today...
Or let me say the best moment I saw since long long time in football, is Callejon's goal vs Espanyol.
Its not the goal.. but the apology from the fans after he scored.. class class class.. this is true football

Javi Marquez is a really tidy player and I hope Weiss continues going from strength to strength. He seems he'll be a legitimately entertaining player in the future.
Not too sure if he'll be effective though...

Is not that number of passes that cules are always annoying the whole world with !!
Oh we had a 70% possession and 600 passes
Now after scoring a goal with 41 passes (3rd against Ajax) and achieving a total of 550 passes against Espanyol, really i don't know if that's worth bragging about

I like Arbeloa a lot but also Ramos as well. The weakest link in the defense this year is Carvalho. Varane and Ramos have shown they can improve this weak link. And even Albiol has had 2 good games recently. I would like to see more rotation for that weak spot with Ramos and Varane, keep Albiol and Carvalho as reserves. This won't give Arbeloa the starts you want but it will give him some. The problem however is MOU. I don't think he sees Carvalho as the weak link!!!!!

i still think arbeloa should start. push ramos in the middle.. varane should be first off the bench if any of the defenders are hurt or suspended

I agree. I've been very happy with Ramos and Arbeloa. He;; even Albiol has been decent.
Carvalho's form has been worrying. I don't trust him in last ditch defending any more. We press higher up this year so our defenders have to be more alert to fast breaks.
Pepe and Ramos are great athletes so this isn't a problem for them. Arbeloa and Varane read the game very well so it isn't a problem for them either. Carvalho on the other hand has gotten to the point were his body can't keep up with the game even though his reading of play is very good.

Re: Espanyol Vs Real Madrid
Is it just me or our forwards track backing have been piss poor this season resulting in very poor ball winning?
Ronaldo, ozil, kaka all need to track back better, especially the former two who are main culprits for our very poor ball winning.

Re: Espanyol Vs Real Madrid
I think they are tracking back just fine.
They aren't pressing enough though IMO. Maybe it's so they don't get tired in the second part of the season.
