Yes Ozil played better in the 2 all draw against Barca in January. Which happens to be our last game against Barca .That's my opinion, and I don't think it's far fetched.

He played better than in all clasicos. Simple reason, he helped out immensly in defense and midfield, on top of it he kept his cool to provide that defence splitting assist 3 minutes after Farca scored.
I play football so I see the things beside the falshiness he brings with his game. Check out his stats for steals, tackles and interceptions. You'll be surprised. he puts in a similar shift against Bayern at home, he'll be our ultimate big game player.

Shows up in almost every big game. His stamina has improved and i would like that he shoots more and takes a few freekicks.

His linking with Real Madrid players keeps improving match by match, Ronaldo's El Classico winner goal proves it all.

He still needs to work on consistency a bit and on improving his stamina, but time will take care of that. Future Ballon D'or winner IMO.

By the next season Id like to see him more in a midfield and forward, not just covering other positions in deep, we must get a midfielder who can do his job both deep and center. Hes stats should have been much higher if Mou didint give him extra homework on the pitch.

He should work more (As much as he does in the classicos) and as a result get more rest next season.

Put him on a rotation with someone as long as it's not Kaka.

I agree. It's dreadful to see him being subbed off for Kaka, who's at least 2 levels behind him in every aspect right now.

We need to find someone who has a mentality like Callejon. Who's willing to work hard for the team but is clinical as well when given chances to play.

Mesut Ozil against Atheltic notched up his 17th assist in the LigaBBVA, equaling his tally from last season. He is now one assist shy of his total tally of 25 last season, bringing his total at Real Madrid C.F. to 49 assists in just two seasons and his career club total to 97 assists at just 23 years old

All the focus is on CR7 and Mou, I think it's better this way. Özil isn't a finished product he should remain humble and work more until one day he'll become a Madrid legend eco smile

However, the German shies away from comparisons and distances himself from comments putting him on the same level as the Madrid legend: "I never compare myself to him, Zidane is on another level. He was a world-class player and I'm not there yet. I still have to prove myself", he stated.

Özil also made it clear that being at Madrid hasn't had the slightest effect on his way of viewing football and that he hasn't felt any sort of pressure in that regard: "I play the same way now as I did 10 years ago in the park. When I'm out on the pitch I just want to have fun".

I think in that same interview he also spoke about how playing between Madrid and the German NT is easy because they both have similar systems so he doesn't have to adapt.
