Well not a very pleasing game to the eyes but certainly very pleased with the result..

Excellent defensive display from Juve..Most of the players out there worked their socks off so did the entire Siena team and in the end it just came down to that touch of quality and that was the difference between the two sides..We dominated possession as expected and the gulf in class was evident between the two teams..

A really solid perfomance from Barzagli..Made timely last ditch tackles and held the defense together once Chiellini was subbed off..Although Lichtsteiner and Grosso hardly made any surging runs going forward they were defensively very solid nevertheless..

Pirlo once again showed his quality as clearly he was once again the best and the most dangerous player on the pitch..

As for Pepe?We saw The proverbial trait of his as he worked really hard..Tracked back several times to provide defensive cover for the likes of Marchisio and Pirlo as well as Lichtsteiner.. Perhaps he lacked a bit of intelligence in the final third but all in all it was a typical pepe perfomance..

Having said that,i would definitely like to see Krasic in the next game who would provide a constant threat on the flanks with his searing pace and mazing runs..In other words i want to see more productivity on the wings..

Giaccherini?Again worked really hard ,tracked back as well but we dint see anything noteworthy from him once again other than holding the ball up well and winning a few throw ins in the latter half of the game..But he did involve himself in the buildup to the goal..

Solid display once again from Marchisio and his decisive long pass in the end proved vital as it led to the only goal of the game..Vidal came on and added a bit of energy and bite to the midfield.

As for the Matri-Vucinic partnership ?It is still early days ..their link up play wasnt impressive and there was barely any movement in the final third but again some quick feet from Vucinic as his pass led to that elusive goal where Matri cooly slotted it in the back of the net..

And regarding Krasic's reaction on Conte ?We can speculate all day long but i think if not for Matri's injury ,I think Krasic would have come on for Gia or Pepe but that slight niggle for Matri meant Del Piero coming on and i'm in no mood to dispute this issue...We'll soon get to know the real story behind this in a few days time perhaps..

All in all very happy with the result..Looking forward to the next game..Forza Juve !

My thoughts on th match is that we played well & didn't really over work our selves...
I am very impressed by Giaccherini, Grosso, Vidal & Lichsteiner
For me,Vucinic was kind lost in the game & I'd love to see Quagliarella next match stating...
Not having Elia, Krasic or Esti kinda burns but the season is young & we manage to get the three points & I am real happy...
BTW...the post that says Conte doesn't know what he's doing is very disrespectful...
reading the post..the reason Chiellini was subbed is because he was tackled badly & was likely to get injured if he continued...
& Giaccherini was the mastermind behind that goal

Lichtsteiner, Pirlo, and Vidal also performed very well. But I agree, Barzagli was a head above the rest.

Some of us are wondering that.
Vidal brings new life to Juventus but him starting means one of Marchisio or Pirlo would be benched unless a formation change takes place, it hasn't yet, hopefully it will soon.
I am really wanting to see Elia and Krasic injected in but I am not expecting it any time soon, Krasic maybe sooner rather than later.

Vidal brings new life and everytime he entered this games he always puts the opposing midfield into their half and they don't even dare to pass the mid lol dunno why

Because for various reasons they are not ready and to be honest right now not needed

Have you noticed that both times Vidal came in for a striker and both times Marchisio has played even better when he comes on? There seems a great understanding between Andrea-Claudio-Arturo...Interesting.

Too bad there is not enough depth to play all 3 at once from the start in each game. I would love to see those 3 against Inter, Napoli, Milan, Roma etc from the start.

I think Conte rested Krasic and Elia for the Wednesday against bologna ...he doesn't want tired squad ..noticed under DN and Ciro how fast players were tired and the wingers are our foundation of our play so we don't want them all tired it won't work good

How the heck are Elia and Krasic our best players???. Buffon , pirlo , ADP , Chiellini are our best players and after that Krasic. Elia is nowhere close to being our best player. Quag , Matri , Vuci , Marchisio ,Lich are better than him.

Conte's system is dependent on wing play.
Elia and Krasic are the two best wingers.

That sums it up quite well. I think that last sentence should say "They SHOULD BE very important in Conte's system."
