He was really running fast in the first goal, but is Pato really that fast as Bolt?

Bolt is much, much faster than Pato.

If you're comparing them at Max speed then I'm with LM.

I happen to think there is a little more to it than this. I honestly believe over maybe the first 10 meters Pato could take Bolt, but only because of Bolt's size does it make him a little slow off the line (apparently athletics commentators say its his greatest weakness)

so Pato for the first 10, then all bolt for the next 90m or 190m

the first 10 ms is just like nothing for these athletest though.. its after the 10 m that the athletes start accelerating

Bolt is slow off the line because he has suspect technique, not because he lacks quickness.

Also, this was the past. In the last year (give or take) he is doing well out of the blocks.

Pato would get destroyed.

edit: he was slow off the line compared to other sprinters, not slow compared to a footballer either.

Does this guy look slow at anything?

Um, NO, Bolt would smoke Pato. On the other hand during the game the announcer said that Pato's brother is an olympic sprinter for Brazil, so I guess he has the "fast genes". I actually never knew that.

Obviously Pep was half joking but I've never seen anyone else burn our defense like that before. I'm sure Pato looks blazing fast in person.

It actually makes a lot of sense, sprinters are always getting little injuries and knicked up. Maybe thats why Pato always has the little annoying injuries.
