Pepe looking shaky

Does he need to sort his balance problem out? Every time he's 1v1 with someone there's a fear he's going to slip and the attacker will be 1v1.
Also the hoofing/clearing should to stop whether it's an instruction or not.

Shaky mentally? As in will he go off the rails and attack someone at some point? Sure. As far as a footballer I can see no real flaws in his game, he is one of the few who truly deserve the tag WC CB. I think I sorta understand what you are saying but that's just his style, how he positions himself, he is very agile and is great at changing position. The bottom line is he doesn't fall over...

Pepe's long-range passing in Real Madrid is second only to Alonso, he rarely just "hoofs" it unless under pressure and it would be the smart thing to do.

Pepe is very good. Not wc though. Too many other great CBs out there. Namely, silva, vidic, pique, puyol, hummels, chiellini, nesta, etc.

Pepe probably is the quickest CB in the world,I would like to add hummels,great player with great potential .

I think you guys misunderstood MT a bit. He's not calling him bad but shaky as in a literal sense. Not sure if his size doesn't match his balance but I too find he has a tendency of losing his balance at times and a fear that he'll fall down when dealing with a 1 and 1 situation...

Pepe has moments of recklessness, especially when he tries to move forward and then recover. When he just stays at home, he's great.

Thread should be named as Carvalho looking shaky imo,He isnt covering well for Pepe this year.Also our back four isnt pressuring well,Reason for our poor ball winning.

Yeah he slips alot when its rainy and stuff, he got too used to madrids dry and sunny weather

Ever sense i saw torres pull that stunt in our 4-0 defeat against liverpool, i noticed his major problem was his balance, against fast and strong player he could easily slide and fall like with a little touch messi made him loose balance and he was down. other then that, pepe is one of the best CB in the world.

i do remember.. he slipped at least 3 times in crucial matches..once against liverpool in the cl, once against ibra in the cl, and once against messi in the supercopa..all three of them were imp goals against us

thats why you know, theres always this fear in the back of my mind that pepe could lose control etc , somehow that prevents me from considering him a wc defender
