OT: Iniesta has a hamstring tear

Never should get happy about an injury to an opponent... but it's unfortunately part of the game.

It's a tear, which is not good, and he'll be out a minimum of 4 weeks depending on the severity. Hamstring tears are awful though. You think it takes 4 weeks and it'll take 8. Personally, i would double whatever time the minimum time is and we'll know that after the MRI in a couple of days.

Barca is damn lucky they bought Cesc. He can cover a lot of what Iniesta did, without being quite as good or as quick. I do think they will be vulnerable because their depth is gone now. Without Sanchez and having to play Cesc in the midfield, they have no forwards on the bench if Affelay is out of form. They are one injury away from really having a tough, tough time.

If they give up points during this period, it's very important that we take advantage of it.

We shall see.

Sanchez also has a hamstring tear and would be out for 6 - 8 weeks, maybe Ini would face that same amount of time. The most surreal thing about it was seeing Ini replaced by Cesc. I really don't know much sides that have that bench power really...

is it morally horrible to say one is happy that an "enemy" is injured, even though it will only benefit us?

Honestly it's a surprise Barca went so long without lengthy injuries to key players.

Wish Iniesta a quick recovery though.

Its not like we missed any key players also against barcelona in CL.

We had Kaka, Higuain and Khedira injured for long spells last year. This year, Sahin will miss a lot of time, Khedira is doing his usual thing and Kaka is missing some time again.

Injuries are a part of the game. Never an excuse.

Come on guys, this is Iniesta we're talking about, the most decent cule. I am sorry he is injured, this does absolutely no benefit to us with Cesc and Thiago there. I do admit, like Ganso, my heart sank when I thought that there were those two just waiting to take Iniesta's place...

Hope the bastards drop points without Pique, Sanchez and Iniesta.

I like Iniesta more than the rest of Barca's players. He can get annoying at times when he tries to start fights (LOLOLOL) but other than that he's a decent guy.

Sorry to hear, Barca lost a lot when he went offer. Cesc just doesn't offer the same dynamism in the middle.

As its a midfielder i think your right the only ones that are out for an extended period of times are defenders maybe they are immune to HGH ?

He will miss Osasuna (H), Valencia (A), Atlético, (H), Sporting (A), Racing (H) and maybe Sevilla (H).
