On Tuesday, 13th September, Olympiacos(home) will play OM and Dortmund (home) Arsenal FC. Based on current form and squad I'd say OM are the favourites, Arsenal and BVB will fight for the second place. Of course, it could change with time when the later teams will come into 1st gear. Olympiacos are no pushovers either

Re: Champion's League, Group F: Arsenal, OM, BVB, Olympiacos
Marseille's Andre Ayew out for 10 days with groin injury
He is out of the first game , big advantage for Arsenal and BVB if Olympiacos manages a win/draw at home

The Ghana international sustained the problem in training and will miss this weekend's Ligue 1 encounter with Stade Rennais, as well as Tuesday's Champions League clash

Re: Champion's League, Group F: Arsenal, OM, BVB, Olympiacos
Shouldn’t those threads be in the CL section?
Anyway… Mirallas plays as a fw not a midfielder and he is definitely Olympiakos big gun.
Other than that we haven’t played a single official game yet so I don’t see us winning against the French

Fixed the part about Mirallas. Ayew is OM's big gun, his loss would force them to change tactics. Also, Olympiacos park their bus properlybilly_gr wrote:Shouldn’t those threads be in the CL section?

About the CL thread section, no one goes there, there're only two threads with the most general questions:
1. Who'll win CL?
2. Who'll win Europe League?
I might rather not post at all than there, at least for now

Fair enough…
I still have hopes for this game, especially because of our stadiums atmosphere.
However no official games is a real handicap and unfortunately I see it affecting Olympiacos especially in the second half.

I didn't get your point at first. If the team is unfit for 90min then you guys are in big trouble. OM are one of the more physical teamsbilly_gr wrote:

This exactly we have just played some friendly matches and the last one was in the beginning of August.
Realistically I expect Olympiacos to look really tired after the 60th minute

Marseille's defense stinks this year so far. Started out horribly and gave up leads in several games. They have 3 points in 4 games in Ligue 1 so far and in 16th place while giving up 7 goals and scoring 6.
Best player on the team has been Remy so far. Valbuena has been good. Diarra meh+. That's about it.
They're not that good right now.

How can you possibly stink with Schmelzer, Hummels, Subotic, Bender, Godtze and Kagawa?

Really interesting group... Looking foward to it. Arsenal got a tough group when they are going through a transition period. In years past they had stronger squads but got "easier groups"

Sahin was the motor It's like taking Alonso out of Real Madrid's midfield...Immaculate_Mole wrote:babun1024 wrote:I fixed everythingDortmund stink (no Sahin), Arsenal stink (Cesc, Nasri) and Olympiakos ( short of fitness) stink as wellsportsczy wrote:Marseille's defense stinks this year so far. Sahin really isn't needed if you got Gödze and Kagawa in front of Bender tbh.
Well not needed is underrating him, but I think they can compensate the loss by creating plays farther up the pitch.

Sahin's influence was overrated especially what he gave them defensively, Bender did all his defensive work and with Godtze and Kagawa theres enough creativity there and Hummels and Subotic are boss enough for the defense
They miss a goalscorer still though

Smile some more, it's good for your health Sahin's influence wasn't overrated, he gave them the cutting edge. Right now, the switch between attack and defence is too slow Götze and Kagawa have to work their asses off Also, they never had a designated goalscorerImmaculate_Mole wrote:babun1024 wrote:Sahin was the motor It's like taking Alonso out of Real Madrid's midfield...Immaculate_Mole wrote:babun1024 wrote:I fixed everythingDortmund stink (no Sahin), Arsenal stink (Cesc, Nasri) and Olympiakos ( short of fitness) stink as wellsportsczy wrote:Marseille's defense stinks this year so far. I get that Arsenal will have a lot of chemistry problems with new players at first but BVB on the other hand dominate in top games but don't score enough I doubt they'll be first placed Barrios and Lewandowski aren't good enoughRealGunner wrote:Dortmund will win the group with ease, Marsielle, Olympiakos n Arsenal will fight for the 2nd n 3rd spot.

Arsenal and OM will progress for this group, DOrtmund couldn't even get out of EL group sorry...and imo they are a little overated. OM is on par with them, OM could even win the group i reckon as Arsenal isn't too much better than the 2 other
