I think this would work well, who will be partnering with RVP.

Walcott... I want to see him upfront than on the wing.. Esp given that is his preferred role and his contract extension is due..

We can't play Arshavin on the wings in a 4-4-2.. He'll HAVE to be moved to an AM or SS role..

Arshavin isnt our starter anymore. He is good as a sub. I would like to see Chamberlain and Ryo instead of him. I really hope we do change our tactics cause the one we use is getting nowhere. Our goals are decreasing. Plus RVP would do great in that role and so will walcott i guess.

Really, Ox and Ryo are both waaaaaaaay too young to be starting, until they get experience at least.

I think wenger is interested in a 4-1-2-3 formation

without wilshere Ramsey will start most of the time as Rosicky n Arteta wont work well together. Unless Arteta plays as a CM which i doubt.

i think if ramsey is given time to express himself he can be a legend. what we need arteta 2 do is to make sure arsenal keeps possesion. i mean from song to arteta, from arteta to ramsey. if ramsey cant find a breakthrough he gives back to arteta. sort of a free role.

Let me point out that the area with the most important job in a 4-4-2 formation is the two central midfielders, in my opinion. They are the ones tasked with providing balance. Using one offensive midfielder and one defensive midfielder is potentially very destructive. It will overburden the holding midfielder. In fact, Arsene was asked something similar last season and he called it a "suicide".

Today, any team that plans to use 4-4-2 cannot use an 'offensive' midfielder against very good opposition, if they plan not to expose themselves. In this formation, when attacking, it usually goes to 4-2-4. Then, don't forget the potential of full backs joining in the attack as well by overlapping. So, there is a good chance of leaving a criminal amount of space behind. That is why it is crucial that in this formation, your two central midfielders, not even one of them should be purely offensive or it will hurt the balance so bad and leave a huge gap in midfield which good teams will exploit.

Look at the teams that have won the PL recently using 4-4-2. None of them used a pure offensive midfielder. Vieira wasn't an attacking midfielder, neither was Gilberto. Both of them used to take turns to go forward at times but none of them had that as their primary role. Same with Man utd last season and also the season where Tevez and Rooney were up front; the two central midfielders stayed a bit deeper, with some having box-to-box roles.

forget about 4-4-2...its old news plus we don't have the players to play 4-4-2 maybe a 4-5-1

Arshavin might work in ramsey place
Gervinho will need too go back and defend but he doesn't.
Arteta has good positioning sense so i think song and arteta would make the defence better

Ryo looked pretty damn good against Koln, maybe sub them both in for 20 minutes in a one sided match. We need a little spark.
