You're 17th in the league. Any club which is at that position can be said to be battling relegation. After all you're just one spot above the relegation zone. Maybe you will pick up and finish in the top half of the table later in the season, but currently you're just one spot away from the relegation zone.

You can't frakking battle relegation at the third frakking round Jewel, it is not conceptually valid.

A team is battling relegation when it can realistically be said that the team has a solid chance of getting relegated. Such realistic claim cannot be said about any team in the 3rd round.

Anyone who claims otherwise is an imbecile. Sorry, but that is the case.
