France U-20 NT

CB partnership of Mandala and Varane and Corchia on the right side. Honestly, that's a more talented CB pairing than the one we had against Albania last night.

Varane just dominated as did Mangala. The poor Latvian youth attackers had no chance.

M'Baye Niang came in as a sub and scored (linked heavily with Madrid). He's only 16. I honestly can't remember a youth skipping the U-16, U-17 and U-18 levels to go directly to the U-20 level with the France NT. He's raw and bony... but the skill is apparent. Already playing in Ligue 1 with Caen.

Was Pogba playing?

Nick, Sportsczy, I know you guys are biased towards France , but for youth teams you should look to Spain. We rule!!!!!!!!!

Not the U-20 team that France is putting on the field now Bill. Mangala is the starting CB at Porto. Varane we all know. Corchia is exactly the same player as Carvajal with his offense... he's basically a winger/am who's playing on defense except that he's doing it in Ligue 1 as opposed to Castilla. Madrid is about to buy the CF Niang for 11 million at the age of 16 (he's also playing in Ligue 1). Monrose and Sunu are hugely talented as well.

Only thing I see is that most of these players are going to graduate to the top flight France NT team before they can play a major tournament. They're too good for this level. That's kind of what happened to this past U-20 team with M'Vila who was supposed to anchor it.

Btw, Pogba was not called up. Not sure why, unless he's part of the u-18 team.

He was just bought in the mercato with the intent of becoming the starter... my bad. Very, very soon when he gets up to speed. He's only been there 2 weeks. They paid 7 million for him and Porto doesn't spend like that without the intent of making the player a starter.

not rolando obviously... but definitely is there to play ahead of otamendi. Nothing impressive about Otamendi at all.
