Need to get this settled who would you rather have in your team. Both are not world class and both are great DM/B2B players, but who is the better one?

Song doesn't deserve the raping he is going to get in terms of votes, the gulf isn't that wide.

However I'm going for Khedira as well, though I do feel that Song's tactical instructions hurt people's perception of him.

Khedira is a better B2B to me. He has better passing and offensive instincts. Song is 70% DM, 30% B2B while Khedira is 80% B2B and 20% DM.

Khedira has got the certain Ballack feeling for me. He isn't just there as DM or B2B, his tactical brains and physicality allows him to dominate the midfield like two men could. He is truely a Spartan like SuperFloren says Very Happy

Just watch games with Khedira and without him. Lass is a lot better DM and better on the ball as well but Alonso can't dominate teams with him Very Happy

Hes a spartan alright but he gets beaten by everyone in speed.

Khedira is underrated as a passer and offensive threat. That's the thing about him. I really like him. The problem is that he just can't put 5 games in a row together because of all these minor injuries... it's hard to evaluate him that highly because of this.

Wrong time to compare these two. Arsenal having thier worst time ever so at the moment Khedira is better.

Not only now, I've always been critical of Song's positional discipline and reading of the game. That's why IMO, he'll never be a DM for a top team, he should be moved in more of B2B role, so his lack of positional discipline won't be punished as often and his attacking qualities will be utilized better.

Khedira is actually more effective as a box to box midfielder whilst Song is more effective as a DM of what i've seen of him at Arsenal atleast..

Khedira is a better overall player imo..
