Only a matter of paper work and almost done deal acc. to BBC
After bidding for Aguero to Rossi to Lorente to Negredo in january now have signed Adebayor. This year's North London derby will be real spicy

Adebayor to Spurs: BBC Sport's @Leon_Mann understands deal is almost done. Just a question of paperwork. #thfc #spurs #adebayor

Re: Adebayor signs for Spurs -BBC
Transfer wise it hardly gets better than a successful ex-Arsenal player joining Spurs ^^
I hope we get a somewhat reliable source on the transfer fee - or could it be only a loan? If Adeeveryonebuysme joins Spurs permanently, he will surely have to take a significant wage cut, no? I'd imagine he's at least on 100k / week at Manc City.

Oh, apparently it is only a loan move. City will surely have to pay a % of his wages still because:
Spurs and City have been in talks for some time over a loan deal, with Adebayor's reported £170,000 a week wage packet proving to be the only real problem.

It sortta sucks when an ex-player of any club joins one of their fiercest rivals, but Adebayor could fit in very well with Spurs' "half direct, half creative" football.
Moreover, if this loan move happens, I'll be really really hoping Crouch to leave and join another BPL side. One of my favorite players. Stoke should sign him up and have Delap launch his missile throws at Peter's head

He must be real desperate if he had decided to join Spurs after the way they sung about him in the Madrid match.Anyway with his awful finishing skills he would certainly fit in well with Spurs strikers.
I suppose the most relieved of this transfer would be Madrid fans.

Adebayor is probably the most underrated player in the World. He'll definitely improve Spurs as his lowest level of form is better than anything Defoe and co can produce.
Both Spurs and Ade lack principle though.
