Did you notice bill how Benz and cr7 would switch off at times? Benz would go left and cr7 dashed thru the center. Coentrao was everywhere and Marcelo showed his stuff.

It's really exciting to see players flow and switch position so seamlessly.

Yes I did. It looks exciting. Think of this. the fluidity with the passes from Sahin and Alonso. I think we may be in for an exciting season.

we already know they can do that. I want to see them pressing now, squeezing out spaces and retaining possession more. I hate to see the team cut off in two, one half attacking, the other half defending. It's the first game so it's yet time to judge.

Last year, our bulldog defensive guy in the midfield was Lass... and we all know his tactical and passing limitations. Khedira is good; but he's not one of those high work rate and ball recovery players. With Coentrao and Sahin, we have highly technically gifted and high work rate guys. And Coentrao is very good defensively.

Last year, we could pretty much tell how a game was going to go based on the performance of our midfield. We would just get dominated there sometimes. I don't think we have to worry about that anymore, other than the super midfield of Barca.

I'm an old school guy. I don't think you can dominate as a team unless you dominate the midfield. This defend and counter attack tactics is way too "Italian" for me. Not a big fan.

yup not a fan as well. I hate it when people hide behind the "we play direct football ala real madrid" argument. it's nice and all in la liga, but you need dominant football to establish yourself on the long run.

not a fan of the way mou plays his 4231 like i said, when we defend, we turn into a 4141, which leaves too much room for the defense to take their time a pick a pass.

im just kind of sad sahin wasnt part in it.

kaka did great. we have a complete team, and higuain and di maria werent even there... nor gago

playing very impressive in the first half of the LA game....

A question, what is the difference between Kaka and Benz. They occupy the same spaces, practically. One drops more on the wings and the other comes back for the ball to lose it again. Both of them lurk before the box most of the time...

not very encouraging tbh, i know it's preseason, but he isnt showing anything, 0. ozil can have weird games, but at least he will make one or two passs to make himself look good.
