It's the same thing here in Moldova ... the communists have been voted up until 08 even tho they didnt do sh1t , and we were actually suffering .... then an alliance formed of three parties had the majority after 08 and we were all so happy but it seems that they dont want to do anything either and have been lying as much as the communists do and since they can't select a president for the 4 year now well have re-elections possibly next month .... but I'm happy that I'm leaving for Italy on 3rd of february .... I love my country with a passion but I don't want to live in such a disgruntled place with no opportunities for your future ...

well , i certainly get the feeling .. but i couldn never leave Greece. I don't want to , i prefer all the s** i've been going through than live somewhere else.

I preffer to stay here and do something about it than go and actually live properly somewhere else.Both seem right decisions though , no matter how you look at things.

I have great sympathy for you guys, most people in Australia don't know how lucky we are to be in a period of economic growth despite the economic crisis in most of the world.

Well I don't have her number anymore, so I sent an e-mail, and won't mind whatever comes after that, be it just a friendship (which I don't actually believe exists between Exs), or whatever.

But ya definitely my wife considers that cheating since she once invaded my e-mail and wasn't happy with the fact I am still in touch with my ex.

But my question is do you guys consider it cheating regardless of the intention, or is cheating just when you have sex?

I don't think that it's cheating, but I do agree that you should respect your wife (to an extent.) I have kept in touch with some exes and it has nothing to do with trying to hook up with them. Sometimes things don't work out and that friendship still remains. I would think that the older you get, the more mature and reasonable you become. I think it depends on how the relationship ended and try to make sure your ex is looking for nothing more than a friendship. I don't think it would be wise to hide this from your wife (this would make you look guilty,) I'm not sure if you'd be comfortable explaining the situation to your wife, although keeping her in the loop might be the best route.

Think about it and make sure you're making the right decision. Is it worth reconnecting with your ex? Would it be worth the risk? In the end, the decision is yours.

I consider it cheating when you go against your partners trust. If your wife doesnt want you talking to your ex, and you go behind her back and talk to her anyways, even if you aren't having sex, it is still cheating. Its that violation of trust that counts.

Plus, some might say emotional cheating (like falling in love with someone else) is far worse then physical cheating (having sex with someone)

definition of cheating : you banging the ex and get caught.
