Roma agree Nilmar terms
There are shock reports emerging that Roma have agreed personal terms with Villarreal and Brazil hitman Nilmar.
The Giallorossi have made it clear their spending spree is not yet over, as today director of sport Walter Sabatini declared they would “sign another three or four players.”
According to Sky Sport Italia, one of those targets is Brazilian striker Nilmar and they have worked out basic personal terms.
Villarreal’s asking price is €20m, whereas so far Roma have offered €14m cash plus performance-related bonuses for the 27-year-old.
There is a lot of interest from other clubs around Europe, including Real Madrid.
It’s reported there is another problem for Roma, as in order to bring in Nilmar – a non-EU player – they must first free up a space in the squad.
Fabio Simplicio is the most likely candidate to be sold abroad.

Dont believe it. but if it was true I would be in favor of it. theres a reason Madrid and Milan are sniffing around Nilmar I say pay the 20 mil and get rid of Barusso or even Simplicio

Nilmar slow?!
You're thinking of the wrong person. This man is a freak. He'll rip Serie A apart.

Wow..Roma actually signed a better replacement..
Man ,he's way better than vucinic..supremely talented player..
he's slow ??lol..
But this would be one great signing..and Sabatini must be commended for his efforts if this deal were to go through..

To be honest, I don't think Di Benedetto even has a clue of who Nilmar is. Sabatini FTW.

Excellent directors were chosen, but not by Di Benedetto. I mean honestly, I very much doubt that Di Benedetto even knew who Baldini, Sabatini and Fenucci were before he bought the club. I'm certain that most of those people were chosen by Di Benedetto's group located in Italy and by Unicredit, not by uncle Tom himself.

Boys take my word on this, he has no clue about football by any means. After his press conference, I felt embarrassed when he answered those questions. In my honest opinion he has know knowledge within Football, nor with Italian football for that matter. He has the name Di Benedetto and yet can't say one word except Forza n Italia. But if he has the money, so then let it be that way.

Roma fly out for Nilmar talks
Roma continue their push for Villarreal and Brazil striker Nilmar, as emissaries fly out to Spain today for talks.
The Giallorossi have been focused on signing the hitman, whose price-tag is around €24m.
They have to make a breakthrough before August 17, when Villarreal play Odense in the Champions League preliminary round.
If he takes part in that game, then Nilmar would not be eligible to feature for Roma in the Europa League.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, this is why Roma director Walter Sabatini is flying out to Spain for negotiations later today.
An alternative would be Palermo striker Abel Hernandez.

Re: Roma agree Nilmar terms
lol No way in hell Zamp parts with Hernandez...Pioli would probably quit before starting.
I'd rather have Hernandez though if all things were equal, at least I know what hes capable of in serie A.
I wouldn't cry if Nilmar arrived though of course lol.
PS. Vargas is available Sabatini, hint hint nudge nudge.

Zamp actually said he would let him go if he gets Amauri ...
Vargas - I think we're already covered on the left with Bojan and Lamela but I wouldn't complain if we got him either..

Re: Roma agree Nilmar terms
Sky Italia has us linked with Higuain again as well....maybe a backup if the Nilmar talks go cold...
I have no idea why Madrid would sell their top striker though...

Madrid play a front 3 with 2 wingers as far as i know...
Ronaldo is their main Cf though and they have Benzema as a backup..
Not that it matters to much because i can't really see us getting Higuain ...Madrid would probably want DDR in exchange for him ...frak that

Always a rumour about Higuian.
A. Hernandez is class, he's Uruguayan after all. =P
I'd take Nilmar though. ;\

Sabatini said that there's a huge distance between us and Nilmar, while Hernandez will always be difficult to get to.
