Are german clubs declining in the Europa League? Empty Are german clubs declining in the Europa League?

German clubs are in the last few years been known for being good in the Europa League, but the last 2 season i feel a small decline. There were no german teams in the quarterfinals of the Europa League last season.
this season looks like only schalke will qualify for the groupstages....

there is no incentive to play europa league.. teams earn more just getting past the group stages (in cl) than winning europa league
