He's still a celebrity, and basically each and every celebrity has a) an agent and b) a publicist, unless the agent IS the puclicist, or employs the publicist.

I don't understand the agent's declarations about Pelé not being involved in the CWC though. I mean, he won't be playing, but on the Brazilian websites it sounds like he's still going there just as a representative, an image.

He got his own brand of football boots not too long out, he is still active.

Pavel Nedved has an agent too. It is not the type of agent who negotiates deals with clubs, it is more for sponsorships, press conferences, etc. Not that funny.
