Funny that everyone keeps saying bad luck, which tells me that the majority feel we played well despite the scoreline and individual mistakes cost us.......
I saw more than enough in that game suggest if we iron out those individual mistakes then we can get something from United and Chelsea.....
Neither one scare me at all, Plus Tiote, Obertan( not that great news lol) and Best are fit for Man Utd

Hooray... another 20m that will disappear forever into the infinite asscrack that is Mike Ashley. Didn't he sign a 6 year contract earlier this year?

Re: Newcastle United FC
Tiote thing is a paper report and i for one think its simply not true(even it is we wont sell him for 20 million)........
1. The last player Chelsea needs is a DM
2. He signed a 6 year contract last January and if we can get 35 for Carroll who isnt half the player Tiote then 20 million imo in this market is a joke....
3. As Pardew said if anyone wants our players ( due to fact all of them are on 5 years of contract ... apart from Coloccini)
They will cost a truck load of money......
20 million in this day and age is nothing and we dont sell players on long contracts these days for peanuts.......
Before anyone mentions Enrique, Barton and Nolan they were going into the last year of thier contracts.....
I am more concerned about Coloccini leaving than Tiote tbh.

I agree... losing two captains back-to-back is a shit thing for morale. Captains are supposed to be loyal, a player for the team and fans to unite behind...

Liverpool game today. No chance I'm wearing any other club's kit.
Besides, magpie is too busy being pissed off at the first snow of the season... though I tend think it's the perfect birthday gift (if it ever snowed on my birthday around here I'd be ecstatic).

Alan Pardew: "Cheick will miss Chelsea and I won't say he will play next week, he has a nagging injury"
This is becoming increasingly like the Carroll situation, i hope he doesnt go

Re: Newcastle United FC
I'm hearing that Steven Taylor will miss the remainder of the season. That's very bad news, if true. The stability in Newcastle's back four has been one of the key factors in their success this year. I've not been convinced by Perch's performances, either. Any chance you will be adding a CB to your wish list for January?

Re: Newcastle United FC
We are going to have to.......
This is the likely defence for Norwich next week......
Santon Simpson Perch R.Taylor.
With Williamson not back for a couple of weeks, Coloccini also out for a fortnight( rumoured).
We are going to need to sign a CB and possibly a fullback aswell.
I just hope this does'nt totally destroy our season.

Re: Newcastle United FC
Alan Pardew is preparing a double defensive swoop in January to patch up his Newcastle side's injury-ravaged back line.
The Magpies could buy TWO new defenders next month – with Montpellier skipper Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and PSV Eindhoven’s Erik Pieters high on the list – after being badly exposed on Saturday against Chelsea.
Steven Taylor had an Achilles operation yesterday, ruling him out for most of the season, while skipper Fabricio Coloccini could miss a month with a thigh strain.
In addition, the Magpies’ third-choice centre-back, Mike Williamson, won’t be back before Christmas after suffering a broken arm and an ankle problem.
That leaves James Perch and Danny Simpson as the likely centre-back pairing for next weekend’s trip to Norwich, with Italy Under-21 international Davide Santon in line to play at right-back.
Pardew is busily patching a small squad that's being ripped apart by injuries, but has ordered his fit players to show some defiance.
“The injuries are our biggest concern now," he said. "We’ve had a brilliant season so far, but injuries are going to come our way and you have to cope with it.
“We’re coming into games now [that] we know are winnable, and could let us back into that top four.
“But at some point in the season you’re going to get into difficult situations and it looks like we’re in a difficult one – but the spirit of the group will remain strong as we go to the next game.
“I was pleased with James Perch [against Chelsea] because he came on in a really intense game against a top player, and although he started shaky he got better as the game went on and that was pleasing.
“We’ve been a bit unlucky in these three games, we’ve not had our best squad to pick from, yet my team are competitive.”
Steven Taylor told of the “weird feeling” he experienced when his Achilles popped.
“I’m absolutely devastated,” he said. “I’m just focused on working hard and getting back after the operation. I’ve just got to get myself fit.
“I thought someone had kicked me, but when I turned around there was no one there.
"It felt so weird. I didn’t know what was going on.”

I hope to f*ck this is true, because we damn sure need some defensive depth.......
Tbh its the managements fault for not realising this before the season started we had 3 CB's in the whole squad ( one of which was injured until Xmas) the fact we have played the same 2 CB's with no injuries until now was nothing short of a miracle.....
Heres hoping we can through the month ahead relatively unscathed and hope Coloccini and Williamson are back fit and some additions are made.
