Thats not true at all. Atletico romped through English teams on the way to there Europa trophy.
2 years ago? Well...without Simao and Aguero, who is their attack ?
It's the only thing you can compare because these are the only times they play in real competitive games. English teams don't do well outside of England in the Europa league, if you want to argue you can but it's a fact.
The hard facts are that in the last 3 years our best played your best twice and moped the floor with them, and atletico did the same to two of your better non Champions league sides on there way to a title.
How many Champions League titles have English teams won?

So because Atletico and Valencia and Sevilla won in the Europa a couple of years ago ( Atletico being the most recent ) thats what we have to base our argument on ?
and how many CL titles do we have, all time ?

What I meant by could was that they would put up a fight/comfortably beat/make a close game with any EPL team aside from Man U Man City and Chelsea, imo.

Arsenal would put up a fight/make a close game with anyone in La Liga , what're you getting at?

You can only compare the games that have happened, otherwise we will match teams up and you will pick epl teams and we will pick La Liga teams. This thread has been done 200 times already, I know how it ends.

0 shots on target less than 30% possession vs Barca. I wouldn't call that a fight.ali8775 wrote:Lionel Messi wrote:What I meant by could was that they would put up a fight/comfortably beat/make a close game with any EPL team aside from Man U Man City and Chelsea, imo.

And you didn't beat us when we had 11 players on the pitch until our best players got red carded for a dubious decision , that proves that we can win or at least give a good fight.

imo, Valencia and Arsenal are about as good as each other, Villareal is a bit better than Spurs, and Sevilla is better than Liverpool

Re: Spain's two horse race
I am going to post a thread detailing how all of the top 4 leagues excluding the Bundesliga are actually a two/three horse race.
I am too tired now.
Just going to say this, I am making it 2006+ to Correspond with the 2006 WC.
(Some football analyst said that football cycles change every two world cups)

you have a bit of a point, but i don't think you're entirely correct
sure in serie a and EPL they pretty much end up being a 2 horse race. but at the start of the season there are at least 3 teams realistically capable of winning the league. usually 1 of the teams messes up big time or gets injury plagued etc. in spain there are only 2 teams capable of winning it from start to finish

Why talk about something u dont know about? Seriously did u even watch Atletico match vs Liverpool? Spouting nonsense wouldn't make ur arguement legitimate.
