I'll start a Pedro Leon and Gago campaign right now. LOL GUYS, THEY ARE BETTER THAN MESSI !!!1!!!! 100 million! 10 clubs have offered! BE QUICK!
Inane money clubs like Chelsea and PSG will take the bait.
NB: Not to say that Pastore is bad, but this was just hilarious.
How is this supposed to be hilarious..comparing pastore's talent to gago or leon is totally unfair..
Oh, I didn't mean that Leon and Gago are of the same quality as Pastore (Imo, they could be however), I was just naming some players we want to get rid off; we should employ Zamp tactics to get rid of them.

Zamp was able to employ such tactics coz pastore is clearly palermo's best player and palermo's most prized asset.. the Fact is palermo is a mid-table selling club..
and he was not trying to get rid of pastore ..he wanted to milk huge sums of money resulting in him inviting bids from other clubs and hence turning into an auction..
Same cant be said about gago or leon..first of all they are at a 'huge' club and struggling for first team action ..and 2nd,real madrid are desperately trying to get rid of them..This is a lose-lose scenario on both aspects.
Hence chances of attracting a large fee is very low..and Even "overhyping"
cannot work out to be a succesful tactic..

I reacted to your comments cuz i think you are clearly taken aback by the transfer fee involved in this transaction..
People term Pastore as overrated and overhyped ..fact is he is supremely talented..What i'm trying to put across is..In this case ,Pastore is getting transferred to PSG for a very large sum..That is because PSG have presented Zamp with the best possible offer..In any case Pastore has merited it and there's no point scrutinizing him for that..

not really.
actually PSG (as it is today) was created only in 1970.
having said that, PSG is the result of a merging of 2 others clubs, wiht 1 of these that existed since the early 20th century (more or less the same period where Chelsea was created too)

Re: Pastore to PSG
Comparing City or Malaga to PSG is a joke... This is a club that finished 4th, has won major trophies in the past and is the only L1 club in Paris (much different than cities like Manchester or Malaga lol).
The other two are wet dreams pretty much. This project actually has a very good business model. Very good existing foundation.

Re: Pastore to PSG
Is this the most expensive (€43m) transfer going into L1?
I mean, it has to be. Probably by some margin as well? Interesting times.

Easily. I think the next highest was Anelka also by PSG for £20 million... that was crazy as the guy was in full sulk back then, even for him. Had already failed at Madrid and stunk with Paris as he didn't want to be there.

Re: Pastore to PSG
I think its a fantastic signing for PSG and for Ligue 1.
Despite his price, Pastore is pure quality and will undoubtedly strengthen PSG. I do believe they are now officially the team to beat in France on paper. I've always had a soft spot for them from the days of Dinho and Pauleta so I'd like to see them win Le Championnat again soon.

I know, he did put PSG in a very interesting position last season tho, he just choked right in time to get out f the title race as always. It would have been a bit barbaric and too much of a change on top of everything going on. He will provide transition at least at the beginning, but if he is struggling, he will get canned. Although with such talent, not winning is incompetence of the first order.
I'm a bit worried about the fullbacks as well, but last season. I like Tiene and i trust Armand, not a top combination but they are good. I wouldnt mind an upgrade, Armand is out injured, and guys like Ceara and JAllet always scare me

Although i hated them as a passion in the 80s... i liked to watch them later on because of Rai, Simone, Pauleta, Bianchi, Susic, Fernandez, Rocheteau, Weah etc. They just had great talent when i was a kid.

Yeah we didnt win the Title back in 1955... we were buried under sand
Seriously though just google PSG, they created the club in 12th August 1970.

It was the new name resulting from the merger of Paris FC (founded in 1969) and Stade Saint Germain (founded in 1904) in 1970. Paris FC then split off again in 1972.
So really... PSG is Stade Saint Germain that was founded in 1904. Instead of going back to Stade Saint Germain after the 2-year merger with Paris FC failed to stick, they just continued as PSG.
