Economic difference between Brazilian and Argentine leagues.
The values are per year and per team, ex: Flamengo and Corinthians receive R$ 43 million each.
Notice that in 2012 all Brazilian teams will receive about twice as much as they receive now, so Flamengo will receive around R$ 90-100 million.

Re: Economic difference between Brazilian and Argentine leagues.
If you have so much more money, why have both countries won 2 of the last 5 copa libertadores?
Surely Brazilian clubs should be winning far more with such a ridiculous gap in financial strength?

Argentinas detoriation into economic nothingness since the 90's is an interesting subject. I cant imagine how much jealousy they feel seeing brazil turning into an economic great, all that with having its very unique identity.

Re: Economic difference between Brazilian and Argentine leagues.
No shit, Sherlock.
Brazil is 5 times bigger than Argentina in population, thus their clubs have a much bigger market to tap. I would be suprised if this large gap had not always been the case. Additionally, the Argentine league is considered to be 'ultra niche' by broadcasters outside of South America whereas Brazil has been doing a much better job of managing their league's reputation as one of flair and entertainment.
Either way, the Argentine league is a complete frakking mess. It's being run into the ground as we speak, and is only a shadow of it's former self. Bad tactics, violent fans, corruption on all layers. We have much more important things to be worrying about than money.

Reading comprehension fail
Let me dumb it down for you:
If Brazil makes so much money how come they're performing just as well as Argentina in the Libertadores and not much better?

....
Thats my point....You're top clubs make 4 times more money than the Argentinian top clubs yet you've won the same number of of libertadores over the last 5 years
How exactly is that the fail of the day?

misread We've won the only last 2 because thats when the money started to come in.
if you wanna play that game aswell... we've won the last 4 out of 7
And will most likely win next years. TriCampeao.

These economic benefits won't be seen until much after. You can't just expect overnight change.
The talent the Argentine league forms is still undeniable.

This is pretty embarrassing considering how much more money the Brazilian league makes and how little the difference in quality has been in the last 5 years.
