my brother has one of those, it's some work to mod it; you have to be careful or you will wreck the whole thing, and indeed it's not cheap

Nick, I found a shop for quality parts (http://www.arcadeshop.de/), I'm looking for a cheap dummy board now to exchange the parts . I only need the case and PCB. Ask your bro whether he knows what is suited best, the platform is PC. And ask which brand is better, they sell parts from sanwa or seimitsu...

When i was in Spain i was astonished how high the prices were, i presume its similar in Germany

Germany is full of PC freaks. Consoles aren't popular here unlike Japan or USA. I don't play a lot anymore but when I play I have high standards, consoles are meh for me
