Of course. Tevez, I am sure for you is just the same. Immensely talented, but a twat nonetheless. Just like Ibrahimovic is for me. I can never deny his skill, but I do wonder why karma has not hit the guy yet.

Player of La Copa, no question about it. Apart from the goals, he has plenty of assists.

Just know that I still hate you guys for buying him on the cheap. 26 million is really a steal.
Pool is my favourite team in the EPL though, so it could be worse.

Re: Luis Suarez appretiation thread.
I dont think he'll be top scorer.
He assists more than he scores.
He only scored 4 goals in his second half of the saeson...but he was the main reason Kuyt and Maxi looked better than Robben and Ribery

Re: Luis Suarez appretiation thread.
Wonderful player. A hard worker, excellent technically, a good finisher and has a good final pass. Awesome turns in tight spaces too.
He was destroying the right wing, especially in the first half. Also, his header to Forlán in that counter-attack... WOW! Last goal of the tournament and easily one of the best.

I am not sure what there is to appreciate.
How did he cheat? He got sent off did he not? If Gyan didn't miss, you wouldn't care about it. But, I don't think you really care what I'm writing so I'll just say this:
Suarez is Italian. You guys are about to go cop a goal. Suarez "cheats." What's your reaction?

Cheating is going against the rules, and he did that when he handballed the incoming header destined for goal.
I would be disgusted if Suarez were Italian and did that. I would feel horribly knowing I won that way, just the same as if I robbed a bank and bought a Ferrari, it would not feel right.

Re: Luis Suarez appretiation thread.
He swatted the ball out of the air on the goal line. You would have to be deluded beyond all hope to not see that is blatant cheating and disgusting disgraceful antics.ynwa wrote:JuvenelCuore wrote:Not to mention Suarez's antics in the World Cup.

^^
How is comitting a handball on the line, different than comitting a handball in opposition's box ?
It's the same offense...so how come one is considered cheating and the other one not

Re: Luis Suarez appretiation thread.
To all those wanking about the hand ball ...
I would have done the same ting for my team, Anyways-
1. He took the responsibility of doing it.
2. He single handedly took all the shame for his country.
3. He got red carded and sat out in the next game.
4. Ghana got a penalty.
5. Ghana missed the penalty.
Ratio 1:1
END OF STORY.

Ghana player dived to win the free kick in the first place which ultimately resulted in Penalty.Wonder why its never mentioned when talking of Suarez hand ball.Selective amnesia perhaps?

Re: Luis Suarez appretiation thread.
Sorry, but I don't see a problem with Suarez' handball.
Really, I don't. That's the game.
It is sure defeat or possibly chance of making it to the semi's in the WC. It would be bad if he hadn't done it. What else is he to do? Let it go in, because it would be a "douchey" thing to do? He took the red card. He didn't cheat as such, because there is a fair penalty on it, whereas with diving etc. you screw others over by getting them cards. Big difference.

Re: Luis Suarez appretiation thread.
I need to bring in Dr. Spencer again I see.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reflex_reaction
Read to understand the meaning of reflex;
But here goes my own version of the incident.
Suarez is in front of the goal, the ball is headed to his right and is in eye level.
The ball is a speeding projectile.
Swapping the ball would be as natural as a swapping a charging fly.
Simply put, it was a knee jerk reflex, only people with slow reflexes would not have reacted.
The three reflexes to incoming projectiles are:
1- Hand to face reaction. (about 50% do this)
2- Swatting the projectile. (about 30% do this)
3- Ducking. (the rest 20%) do this.
People typically only do one of those, and they do them all the time.
Note that you need to be unconscious to the fact that the projectile will be headed your way . (or else goal keepers may duck all the time).
In summary,
Suarez did a reflex reaction to the incoming projectile, he had no time to think or to plan what to do. His reflex was to swat the ball. Another player might have ducked or put his hand to his face, but Suarez is a swatter.
End of story, it might be called cheating, but it just a product of human anatomy.
Dr. Spencer, out.
