Re: The US Politics Thread
Honestly Trump has incredible aura on stage and yet Allan picked Kamala, who was largely bland and uninspiring, for the category of "charisma" just because she was a mixed race woman (in his own words). Seems to me he was biased this time around. He's nearing 80 so maybe he's just losing brain cells naturally.
But overall Allan's record is 9/11 so wouldn't really call him a loser in the grand scheme of things considering he makes his prediction not a week before but usually well before the election takes place (sometimes months before) so there are many variables that can change.
Most do their prediction days before election and still get it wrong, however this time it was obvious Trump would win (his momentum after failed assassination attempts was mad) so maybe his keys have become an outdated model, well they definitely did not account for godly intervention when Trump moved his head to the side milliseconds before the shot. Also repeating "don't call me stupid" over and over is the worst form of defense, while never mentioning that your prediction record is still quite impressive.

Stay safe everyone. We live in a sick world, I sometimes forget.
Human life is worthless.
Tbh nobody truly believes Trump would end the conflict in a day like he promised. And his defense secretary pick called for 2x more weapons to Ukraine.
I feel like this is beyond any particular president, it's in national US interest to make Russia weak. Wouldn't be surprised if Trump comes in and explains that Putin can't be reasoned with, and keep supplying weapons.
Because I doubt Putin will concede at this point in time.

Re: The US Politics Thread
That is beside the point though. We'll see what Trump will do.
The point is why. And when I get into the why, it makes my stomach turn.
It is obvious, but most people take it at face value and it baffles me how misinformed and detached the people are.
I'm caught up in it though. Thinking about it makes me feel disappointed and sad, on the other hand I am extremely interested in what will happen as the eventual outcome of the political collision happening right now will steer the fate of humanity in my opinion, as it is far deeper than politics, that is just where the public arena is.

Agreed @Vibe. people think this Ukraine conflict is just another proxy war in the world but it's been clear for some time, that whatever the outcome, it will have major implications for the global world order, especially with China's inevitable economic ascendancy and BRICS offering alternatives to the US dollar. the question is really about whatever unipolar US hegemony can sustain itself in this modern world or we're going to gradually move to a multipolar one.

Russia doesn’t have the gdp, economy or technology. Their only way of clinging onto the empire is by brute force. Imagine how many productive-age Russian men have already died
Remember that this was supposed to be a 3 day special operation. To show that they’re still playing in the same league as China and USA, turns out not really
It’s always about the global power shift, that is the „why”
