I really don't understand what has happened to Atletico Madrid. They had such an ambitious transfer window, but I'm watching them play against Vic right now in the copa, and they're genuinely struggling.

It's as if they borrowed half of their team from Man United. No spirit, no fight, no willingness to drive the ball forward. Against a 6th division club. Perhaps they should've focused more on their midfield and defense, because they look like they're playing for a draw in a match where they should be comfortably winning.

I'm not watching them all that much this season but id guess it's Griezmann's ageing and decline mostly since he was the engine of the team in both midfield and attack, and these supposed lavish transfers didn't fire off as intended or maybe Simeone's formula is just exhausted

But there's really no excuse against Vic, their players apparently have regular day jobs outside of football

They did win in the end. Took them a penalty in the 80th minute to turn things around. Would’ve been embarrassing if they had lost this one.
