Mbappe may be headed to EPL

Some noise starting to swirl that Mbappe may join City to partner up with Haaland... Mbappe feels like they are both very complimentary.  It's coming from Dominique Sévérac of Le Parisien, who is credible... but he also says that this may just be agents trying to stir up the market to help negotiations. Said it on a podcast.

City ownership is obsessed with getting both on the same club apparently for various reasons.

I didn't want mbappe the moment he revealed his true colours. He can go to the mule league or farsa for all i care.

Besides, endrick will arrive soon. Our chief scout is really high on Endrick as am I. I believe in endrick to remove all doubt. As such, i welcome any mbappe stuff that doesn't involve real madrid.

If it doesn't happen then I hope something does happen that pretty much negates any opportunity of Mbappe ever coming in the future.

What are the details on this though? Al Khelafi famously said Mbappe wouldn't leave for free, what are the details and what's the leverage that PSG has?

Apparently the club plan is in the next week, they are presenting the offer to Mbappe and giving him 15 days to accept, signature this time as obviously verbal doesn’t work with him! If he doesn’t sign, they plan to try an offer for Haaland! There are lots of rumors out there including a Spanish version of April fools that he will go to Barca, lol. I don’t think anything has changed for Flo nor Mbappe, rest is pure speculation. Difference this time is Flo is saying it’s now or never.

If they strike out with both of them, then supposedly there is a third choice, but at this point, I don’t think that choice is known.

As to Endick he is a prospect, will need a couple of years just like Vinicius and Rodrygo. Club has repeatedly said, they plan to bring in a CF next summer. Joselu will be the expendable.

Mbappe cannot publicly commit in January.   It's almost impossible.  PSG fans are crazy and the club is still in CL.  Frankly, it would also put his family and friends in a horrible position.  Not as bad as OM fans... but not far.  If you anger these people, you better not be in the city.

So even if there is an agreement, it will never go public until PSG is out of CL and maybe even after PSG wins Ligue 1.  

He may do it... as it's not completely impossible.  "very unwise" is a better term.

The fee and wages look about right though (as reported by Marca).  I'm assuming the fee may be a bit higher due to having to give some to PSG (around 50 million).  But the rest is correct.

So my guess?  If you hear nothing from Mbappe and Madrid at all AND Madrid isn't pursuing anyone else... it's done.  It just won't be announced.

That would be acceptable Sports. My prediction (more hope than anything) will be

front 3 Vinicius, Mbappe, Rodrygo with backups Brahim, Endick, maybe Güler (still don’t know if he will be MF or forward), possibly keep Joselu, if Espanyol doesn't make it back to liga as an 24th or 25th man.

Midfield Tchouameni, Camavinga, Valverde, Bellingham, Ceballos, Nico Paz, possibly Kroos back for a final season. (Modric gone, contract expired)

Defense Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, Alaba, Davies, Fran, Nacho, another RB and possibly another CB as a 24th or 25th man (Lucas gone contract expired) (Mendy sold)

Courtois, Lunin (Kepa gone)

Mbappe's either staying in psg or going to city. the club better be smart and look at attainable targets. If we continue with this circus, one day we'll wake up and find toni kroos has been converted to a center forward.

There's also Liverpool... they're hovering in the periphery. Similar to Madrid, Klopp has been trying to get Mbappe since he was a kid, as has Liverpool. There's a strong relationship there.

Nuñez as it stands simply isn't good enough. As he blooms and progresses he can be a very important player for us but nowhere near to the extent of what a generational star Mbappe would be.

Mbappe needs to leave Paris. Entire waste of his career from this point on. Big fish small pond.

Nunez is just wrong for Liverpool, he is not a modern striker Liverpool system requires. Everything his strikers instinct tells him to do is usually the opposite of what he needs to do and is capable of doing well.

I think he can be a great striker but somewhere else if his confidence survives.

Nunez is made for counter attacking football, but even then still you have to pray he has his shooting boots on, or can somehow find a final pass.

According to Fabrizio Romano(and many others), Mbappe will decide nothing until the season is over and all parties are aware of his.

100%. One of the big reasons (that nobody talks about) that he stayed was so to help his little brother make it as a pro (Ethan Mbappe). He was worried that the club would act petty and hurt his bro’s career. Seeing what happened this past summer, he was likely right.

Now that Ethan has made it and he’s nearing the end of his contract with PSG as well, that consideration has ended.
