Goal of the tournament: Chavez vs Saudi Arabia. There were so many others but in terms of the most technically impressive I have to go with this. Special mention to Mbappe vs Argentina, Di Maria vs France, and Neymar vs Croatia

Player of the tournament: Messi. In terms of actual impact on team performance, it is close between him, Mbappe, and Emi Martinez. I give Messi the edge because of the leadership and how much he elevated the performance of his teammates.

Golden glove: Emi Martinez. Saved Argentina’s tournament with that 120+3 save. Came clutch in two shootouts.

Best young player: Gvardiol. No shame in losing out to Messi. Otherwise he was great throughout the tournament

Emi had an all time save at 120th minute of a final so his entry is valid, but over the entire tournament I felt Livakovic was better and had to carry a defense with Lovren to QFs lol

it was more than that save...
- the penalty shootouts he was the hero in both
- the save late against Australia

easily goalie of the tournament for me... Argentina go home crying if not for him
