Rakitic used to cover Roberto n Messi so much to plug that gap... Frenkie dont seem to be aware of that need still... Real are just lining up now...so east its like our defense dont even exist. More goals should come...

I suspect this might be a cultural thing. It sounds like you're describing Norwegian commentators. I feel like they're typically very monotone and reserved. The ones that aren't seem to be obnoxiously over-enthusiastic about every little thing that occurs.

Anyway, I take no great pleasure in saying this, but everytime I watch a La Liga game on an illegal Spanish stream, I am reminded that there are no dumber sounding pricks on this wide world than Spanish football commentators.
This kind of Spanish can only be called a detestable, horrible language, the way these pricks speak it. The r's, acceleration, the lisp, the massive bravado despite their laughable lisp, the first name basis with the players, the way they say the whole "futbol club barcelona" everytime, the worst language hands down.
Give me Portuguese, Italian every day, this football commentator Spanish is just horrible.

LA commentators >>>> Spanish commentators.

No lisp

After celebrating their win like they won a title last season, normal services are resumed this season. Next! This is an easy game

Think the recent classico record has been like 5 Real wins n 1 Barca win... n this game Real didnt even look like getting out of 2nd gear. Think should stay top for the rest of the season now Razz

Defending is surely something Xavi needs to figure out... maybe during his playing days Barca were never good at defending so hes clueless it seems which is worrying. Apart from that needing to rid of the shit players as usual. Unless he does those 2 things, we wont become a top team again under him.

Nice win!

I was expecting more from Barça to be honest, but they didn't even put up a fight.

Lewa also wasn't up to the task, which is something I didn't expect. I assumed he would score today based on the fact that he had 8 goals in just 7 games.

Anyway, nice to see that Madrid had no trouble beating both Barça and Atlético with relative ease.

Also, it wouldn't be me if I didn't have an innocent laugh at the expense of Xavi's pre-game press conference quote:

I'm always an optimist and I see this game as a great opportunity for us. We are the (LaLiga) leaders and we want to continue to be as of Sunday.

We want to leave the past behind. If we are positive, everything will be fine

I have to laugh when I see Barca fans blasting their team! I must admit there are some Madrid fans just as bad!

It’s time they accepted reality that Barca were a complete disaster both financially and squad wise under previous president and board.

What Laporta was able to do with pretty inventive financial maneuvers is commendable. Imagine how this game would have been if they hadn’t made the changes!

The biggest difference in today’s game was the defense and it should be noted, the absentees due to injuries. However the squad while improved is still not as good as Madrid’s is! That’s not just a statement, it’s just a fact.

Signing Xavi, I still consider a good move, but you have to recognize he is a rookie and has to develop his coaching skills. His biggest problem IMO is his mouth!

Calling for getting rid of useless players is a bold statement given the players already gone and the planned objective to get rid of Pique, Busquets and Alba., particularly when there will be little funds available for more signings.

Getting rid of the veterans will help financially as well, but the sale of future income in reality means the financial capability to compete will be under strain for some time. Again, that means accepting reality.

But from my Spanish point of view, the Barca revamp is good for la liga and we can’t assume Madrid will run away with liga title. barca will remain in contention all year long.

Never seen Madrid play relatively relaxed in a clasico like this...

My only quips are Mendy switching off. The man's usually a rock.

A triumph is nice but let's build on it and do more of the same against our next opponents. Winning el clasico doesn't win league titles, winning every matchday until it's mathematically ours will get it done.

57% possession but conceded 3 goals. I hope for Xavi sake that he doesn't see this as a positive. Possession is useless if you've done nothing with it.

Im not sure how we even beat Real 4-0 back in just April Razz Maybe Real decided to go easy on us or were just surprised in that game cos this game really showed the huge difference in our levels atm...

Im starting to see more n more issues with Xavi too, the way our team seem to blindly press high at times n just generally leaving so much space for oppositions to counter without having anything fast defenders or positioning well enough to counter this, so more n more teams know how play vs us now.

In attack we seem to just pack the box with players or place players in n around the box but there often is little movement so everyone is just static n waiting for the ball. Lewand actually tried moving all around in recent yrs to help things but overall its just enough since we got nothing from our MF or FBs in this area. Watching that vs the Man C n LFC teams n its clear the vast difference.

Been saying this for yrs now but physicality n speed wise we just cant compete either. Even old Modric/Kroos n of cos someone young with physial power like Tchou/Fede beat us in that area this game lol. So we really need to change as a club to update our game, cant just have possession n ball playing without enough other attributes required for todays game. As good as Busquets has been for us over the yrs, hes really too much of a weakness in so many games now due to this we really need to phase him out... hope Xavi also realizes players like Roberto/Eric just arent good enough n bench them like Ferran Razz

I still have faith in Xavi, but he needs to learn fast.

Xavi making big changes, although wonder if its just this one game. No Busquets, Eric, Dembele n Raphinha. The right side Ferran did make that third goal but apart from that nothing as expected, alongside Roberto. Saw Lewand often demanding them to cross the ball to him faster to no response Very Happy

The midfield 3 looked good n also Kounde for their counters, but cant but feel just that La Liga teams mostly dont have any WC forwards? They either dont manage to threaten us much or they just screw up their chances... so its like we dont get tested enough in the league n when it comes to CL vs top attacks we are exposed... basically bar the top 3, other La Liga teams cant afford to sign top forwards.
