RMad exits 2022

There are 13 possible exits this year:

Out of contract:
Bale - looking for a club to play with to keep him fit for WC, nothing concrete yet
Isco - interest from Sevilla
Marcelo - May just retire

Up for Sale:
Jovic - apparently some interest, but nothing concrete yet
Mariano - finally is receptive to a move but no offers yet

Last Year of Contract:
Asensio - sure looks like he goes, currently negotiating with Man U
Ceballos - his choice Madrid as a 7th MF or there is interest from Betis

Doubtful future:
Vallejo - likely gone
Lunin - likely a loan (where he will play) to gain experience with Opina coming in as more experienced backup

Loanees:
Odriozola - not in club’s plans, doing well at Florentina and looks like a valid interest from Inter
Kubo - can’t fit him on 1st team due to import quota. Club needs to decide on another loan or cash in
Reiner- same situation as Kubo, except he has hardly played on loan. Club needs to decide on a different loan or let him go ( that would be at a net loss, so I suspect another loan.
Mayoral - apparently club will wait until end to decide on him as he may end up being Benz backup.

Forgot Brahim on that list.

He’s doing well on loan to Milan. They like him, he likes it there, not really in RMad plans, so it is just a matter of time when Milan turns it into a sale.

It's really a shame that Reinier hasn't been able to play more often at Dortmund. In the little time that he's been on the pitch, you could tell that there's something special about him. He seems good at holding up the ball, and his ability to spot team mates with a pass is definitely above average. Although, from what I can tell, his passing ability isn't quite on par with his football intelligence.

I don't know why he hasn't been playing much at Dortmund, but it would be in everyone's best interest that he does play regularly. I think I recall him coming on for like, 2 minutes in one of their cup games  

Apparently both Lunin and Vallejo want to stay!

I read this morning that a Fran Garcia was staying at Burgos. He is a LB!

It took a while but it turns out there are 2 Spanish Fran Garcia LBs!!

Our guy is still at Rayo and it does appear he will be coming home at a cost of 10M.

Fran is not coming unless Mendy leaves which is unlikely as Carlo likes him

We won't make anymore purchases unless a like for like leaves

Jovic off on loan to Fiorentina. Odri will also likely be loaned. Mariano is refusing to leave *surprise* *surprise* therefore we are only getting Mayoral back. I wouldve like RDT but I have seen nothing in the rumour mill that suggests we are interested in him

I’ve read a couple of things re Fran.

1. They have put a price tag on Mendy, 50M I believe, but are not openly selling him, will accept an offer if it comes.

2. They are likely not to add another CB once Vallejo leaves (although I heard yesterday Vallejo wants to stay). That then allows Fran in roster keeping defenders at 8. They are for sure collecting some sales income with Asensio, so there is more than enough for the 10M for Fran. He was ranked among the best in la liga at Rayo!

I also have heard Odriozola will be sold either to Florentina or Inter, not another loan.

And apparently, there is interest and discussion happening with Florentina and Jovic.

I also believe it’s either Mariano or Mayoral with the other being sold. With Mariano effectively saying he wants his contract bought out to move, I guess that means he stays and Mayoral is out. Interesting thought is Flo said 2 years before acquiring another CF. Given this will be last year of Mariano’s contract, they may loan Mayoral just to have him as an option for following season.

The other news is Ceballos still hasn’t decided! Part of the problem is that although Betis want him, they don’t have money and are hoping for some sort of gift! Not likely to happen, at least not this year with a year left on contract. He says he wants to feel wanted and occasionally mentions wanting spot on Seleccion for WC. But, his chances of that at this point is very slim as midfield is our strength.

However, I must say, other than the Asensio sale, all of this is highly speculative and may very well go on until end of July for these backfill positions.
