Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
Havent really watched a big PL game in a while... but why is Man C lineup missing so many? Looks a much weakened team? Pep trying to be funny again? Or are they injured?

This is the way to go ahead for this club. Keep playing midfielders at CB and keep giving away penalties.

Actually pretty good geography there. Also possible it might divert to Newcastle due to the winds.

A billion spent and they don't have a single player who can consistently score from penalties. I imagine the lack of killers will be their downfall in the CL once again. Their finishing is woeful.

That pen was harsh on Fabinho though, Sterling are known to look for them... but nice dribbles still, what a miss though in such a big match...
Man C arent playing well at all, Foden needs to come off. Zincenko is still a Man C player somehow, why is beyond me looool... TAA getting some nice crosses in.
Man C would be happy with a draw though, expect Liverpool to go for it in the second half.

3 PK missed against Liverpool in vital games could’ve had 3 games won if not for that. Even this season KdB missed which may have given City the W and now Gundo. I don’t know what more Pep can do here last couple of season has been tactically superior to Klopp but can’t seem to get those W usually ending in D.

it was the most clear cut penalty of the season. Not even Fabinho protested

KDB's injured. Aguero has been injured for a year. I'm getting convinced that meniscus injuries are the worst injuries for footballers. They ruined Mendy and Conti, and Aguero's been out for a year when it was only supposed to be for like two months. I think that's one of the reasons City's been hesitant to offer him a new contract. Ansu Fati is also having injury relapses from it too. I wonder how it'll impact him when he comes back.

They just don't turn up for crucial moments. I'm not sure how anyone can deny that at this point.

Tbf Aguero's age is against him. He is taking longer to heal and get fit. He will be 33 soon so i won't be surprised if he leaves City this summer.
A striker is going to be City's biggest spend this summer.

He looked fine pre injury. Though I think they'll make a move for Haaland this summer and make him their first +100M signing. Whether he ends up joining them is another question.

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
It was always going to be a draw or a win for City. Don't remember the last time a team on the backfoot won such a crucial game. Especially consider the form of the teams.
City happy to sit deep and let Liverpool have the ball. Perfect game plan by Guardiola.

Problem with playing CMs and DMs at CB is that they all have the turning speed of a steam boat. So easy to run around them.
Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
Here I was thinking Dias might just pass the Anfield test, but he has a brainfart like other City CB's normally do over there. It really is there bogey ground lol.

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
Both teams going for the win now. Should be a sick last 20 minutes. My money's still on City.
Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
As I said too easy for the likes Foden and Sterling against these "CB"s.danyjr wrote:Problem with playing CMs and DMs at CB is that they all have the turning speed of a steam boat. So easy to run around them.
GG.
Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
WTF was Alisson doing there?
Basically tried to gift City a goal, failing with his first gift and succeeding with the second.
Catastrophic shit.

And succeeds with his third gift as well.
This is probably his worst game, and he just Kariused Liverpool's entire season in this match.
