Definitely the best antagonist so far out of anyone. Amazing villain. The last 10 eps definitely made up for the underwhelming middle part.

Probably on par with stardust crusaders overall.

I like how they forgot that Jotaro could stop time for longer in part 3 lol. And somehow he didn't train to improve in 10 years?

Does a new studio make new part every time?

I’ve tried to find that Fist of the North Star show you mentioned when I said I liked the theme behind Jojo’s first season. Where did you watch it? I can’t find it anywhere where it’s not region locked.

I haven't watched it, not sure if its licensed or anything, you can find it subbed on random sites online (I like animepahe)

There is nothing bad about it but it's a struggle to get into. Characters look a bit shit.

it's somewhat on my radar...I don't really mess with weekly shounen jump stuff (although it's switched now) but I hear it kinda breaks the mould from the usual stuff in WSJ

that said...I read the authors previous work, Fire Punch, which I consider to be absolute batshit insane nonsense so I have always been reluctant to start it

started Usogui about a month ago but haven't read any for a while..about 120 chapters in, 'gambling/game' series in the same style as alice in borderland but it also has a lot of action that is over the top

finished watching AOT s4 part 1

It has some really bad pacing issues but the big moments really deliver.

Man I was absolutely gutted when i saw it at work. Can't remember any death hitting me this hard. Sad thing is that people speculated this for years. He had heart issues for decades and he wasn't even that old.

The impact he has had on pop culture can't be matched. He basically started a new genre by himself.

Berserk remains the greatest manga ever written or drawn. Shame it will never be finished.

Yup. Pretty crazy. 54 ffs. Insane impact on dark fantasy and the manga industry. Would be no Dark Souls without him.

Kinda selfish to say but I'm glad I wasn't that invested in Berserk now after 10+ years of slow releases. Golden Age arc remains the best thing I've read across anything though.

I wonder if he left extensive notes behind. Could see it concluded via novels, some exist already for background on certain characters.

I still keep up to date with Berserk and the last chapter is sufficcient as an ending to me. It felt like the end of an arc and the start of the end, I'm glad the last chapter wasn't some random one on the boat or something. Will be missed.

you on this? get on it asap if not, took a little urging for me to get into it but I'm glad I did. Little darker than the usual shounen battle series. I'm probably gonna jump into the manga now I've watched the first season. Blew up hugely in Japan after the anime too.

Jujitsu Kaisen is getting an anime this fall. The manga is quite popular. The anime is definitely gonna be a big hit. Will be at least as big as Demon Slayer.

I downloaded it after catching up with black clover (lol). Watched 10 mins and was going to get back in it but never got the time.

Saw the hype for it and need a new battle shounen so going to watch it this weekend.

been reading the manga for the last couple years

it turns to absolute dog shit after like 10 vols, like one of the worst, most milked manga I've ever read.

on one hand I'm mad that it's getting so popular but maybe it'll be a gateway delinquent anime for people and lead to some other delinquent stuff (like OUT) getting anime (doubt it though)

Again, not hating, I would discuss it a couple years ago with people a decent amount, we were waiting for the official volumes to drop (since the fan translations were so slow) pretty hyped for the first 10 vols. But it should have ended 10 times over by now. Author is fully milking it to the detriment of the story. I can't blame him when I see how the sales have exploded since the anime began. It used to be neck and neck with OUT at 5 million copies sold when I was into it. now it's at 20M.

btw, amazing time for me to have caught up with Jujutsu Kaisen's manga...just announced today the series is going on indefinite hiatus due to the author's health.

just wrapped up Violet Evergarden and Psycho Pass season 2. On to the movies and season 3 next.
