gijon had the third best defence in the league but not one of their defenders makes the nominations, instead there's abidal to make the committee feel warm and fuzzy and frakking marcelo

no rondon in the revelation player, instead there are muniain and perez who have both done nothing this season

sigh... the worst thing is that people use these kinds of "awards" in arguments...

There are only 3 players selected per positon. This is not a charity event Gijon shouldn't just have a player selected just because their defence was 3rd best.

Obviously it IS a charity event if Abidal is mentioned. Besides, Gonzalo Rodriguez > All of the aforementioned.
