Where will Messi go?

Re: Lionel Messi Transfer Speculation
I mean, I get the disappointment. Whether he stays or leaves Barca will be worse off after today. Especially if he stays he should've let the new coach do his thing rather than get involved in politics, Bart was a dead man walking anyways.
It's one thing to say "I don't see a successful project here and I'm running out of years", it's quite another to say "I want to fire this guy so I'm going to bluff an exit"

Messi contacted Pep Guardiola a few days ago. He wants a winning project. Manchester City have 300 million euros to spend for transfers. [cat radio]

Re: Lionel Messi Transfer Speculation
Haha yeah even with Messi I don't think this City team can beat a Bayern side with Sane added to the mix or a fully healthy Liverpool team with Thiago added to midfield. They need to fix their defense. If they blow the whole budget on Messi but his amigo Otamendi keeps starting or Gundogan keeps starting, it won't matter much.

Messi is studying Manchester City’s offer. He has already been in contact with Pep. City are willing to pay a large sum and potentially include Gabriel Jesus in the deal. from @gerardromero

Sam Lee, City Tier ?: the next few days are decisive. City are ready to sign Messi if he does leave Barca on a free.
I understand @David_Ornstein is tier 1; he said Pep spoke with Messi. 'speaking' doesnt mean anything tho

Yes our midfield is somewhat dross, as much as i like Messi, i'd rather spend 10x less for a CM who isn't scared to attempt a tackle

What a thread to wake up to
CL here we come
but seriously, he's only going to move to a club that can win the CL next season.
City, PSG or Juve.
Utd, Chelsea, and Inter don't have the team for it, Milan and Arsenal are not even in the CL, Bayern and Liverpool won't pay him and he'll never go to Real or Atleti.

Re: Lionel Messi Transfer Speculation
if Messi leaves Barca, I think he doesn't want Premier League.
He prefers a weaker league, Serie A or Ligue One, because he needs to manage himself so as to arrive to World Cup in the best conditions.
Anyway even if I think Inter would be a nice destination for him ( for Milano, where he 's bought house for a better taxation), we can't afford him
Having said that, I believe it'll happen the simplest thing at the end.
Bartomeu will be guillotined in the square ( word of Robespierre.) and we'll have the last year as dictator by Lionel Messi in Barca with Vidal and Suarez to stay for boning the finances of the club until the end.

If Messi is seriously wanting to leave (which at this point i have doubts about) surely he must sacrifice to salary. And this 700 millions clause is bs nobody will pay that
Unless his choice is City, would be crap imo, bland club, but i understand PL fans see it otherwise

Re: Lionel Messi Transfer Speculation
I said it as soon as news confirmed they want Suarez out, its obvious that Messi and Suarez are like partners on and off the pitch for too long now, hard to see Messi wont be upset if they force Suarez out. Should have kept both another year at least and then ease them out.
Probably due to the financials which is all Barto cares about I guess, or just plain dumb management as usual.

Yeah, it'd be to sad to see him with City kit imo.
At that point it's better PSG, again a plastic club but we're talking about La Ville Lumière, and imagine the trio Messi, Neymar , Mbappe. It joins properly the past, present and future.
