Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
Couple of COVID musings:
* how much does home/away make a difference without the crowds in the stands? (apart from having to travel)
* I hate these artificial crowd sounds.. it's always a few seconds delayed and it is just so fake.. but then, watch a game without it, and it feels like some training session or a closed doors friendly..

Such exciting football from Leeds! Level despite a couple of hard decisions going against them already!

The artifcial crowd sound is appalling, terrible and unacceptable, IMO. I watched CL final without fake crowd and it was actually an atmosphere of intensity, with the staff cheering and clapping.
You knew what was going on, you had a sense of what atmosphere is on and around the pitch, it's important to have that sense to judge the momentum of a game.
Initially, as everyone, I was lured by how well the fake crowd works, how readily we accept it as part of the landscape, (as of course the empty reverberating sound of no fans was sad, and was a strain on our capability to focus and injoy the game.)
But if you pay close notice now, the fake outrage booing after a foul/ref decision, the applause, the chants, when the stands are empty, it's absolutely maddening.
If you want to to feed in just an atmosphere, do that, but don't feed in fucking REACTION noises from a crowd that doesn't exist.
It's like an insult to my sense of what's real and right.

Not even need of put artificial crowd sounds in Premier League, you found silence at the stadium even before Covid.

I really hope Leeds establish themselves and stay in the PL if this is the kind of game they're going to bring

I repeat, Martin Tyler is a force spent and needs to retire. Insanely overrated commentator as it is. No knowledge outside of the BPL either.

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
What a game so far...true opening of PL in new special season covid.
Liverpools back line still in pre season mode, spcially VanDjik and Alison would have done better for their first goal in usual circumstances.
Take nothing away from Leeds though
