Fantastic intention from Valverde, took one for the team even though he knows the repercussions of it. That's what you expect from your players.

On topic, there has to be a much bigger ban/punishment for these kinds of challenges. Red card isn't enough.

I think he’s similar to Dembele in that they both have a lot of raw talent, but they also both have poor decision-making and are prone to needlessly losing possession of the ball. At least, Dembele has confidence. I don’t see any of it in Joao. He was gifted the biggest chance of the match tonight, and all he could make of it was a weak shot into the hands of Courtois.
