De Jong pretty much could have been replaced by anyone out there and you would not see much difference.

Watch the game again, there were too many incidents in this game to list, and lets not get into his performances in countless other games, and not just this season alone...

It's been 2 games
calm down ffs
there will be transfers in the summer
Dembélé will be back
Setien might improve
not to mention you're top of the league still
you're "jumping ship"
to support other clubs?

Kondogbia played one of his best matches in a Valencia shirt. MotM for me.

Nah I saw Coutinho play in the Olympiastadion last weekend and he was very visible in his awful passing. Eyecatchingly, tbh, bad passing for a supposed 10

Bayern fans wanted Kovac gone after he actually won silverware, kindly hush.

there's a difference between wanting your coach gone and stopping to support your club
and I waited at least 10-15 games before I called for hs head IMO

Linetty just being over dramatic, standard GL procedure when your team loses. It's acceptable.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
The style change (and a massive one) that Barca is undertaking mid-season is unfeasible. It would be ok if the this was a team of players that had played this style before and were familiar with each other.... but, predictably, the new players were just starting to find some semblance of synergy with Valverde's style and now have to work themselves into a new one. Not at all surprising that De Jong and Griezmann looked like the first day of training camp here.
This isn't FIFA.

Good loss, played wonderful football and had more possession. The W doesnt matter as long as they tried to play prime tiki taka

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
This was a game of immense impression. I persoanlly think it cemented our end of era if it wasnt over already. This was a bad bad bad defeat.
The look of Setien and his assistant toward the end was so funny, its like 'we wish we hadnt taken this job'. At kickoff mid week they were actually joking and laughing all smiles LOL!
Messi was on fire last week, so I dont know what happened during the week? There seemed some positive effects and as some said lets see how long this bump in performance would last Looool! We were all over the place today, such a mess. Setien the chess master? He should stay playing chess. Otherwise I dont know how after 2 weeks we can put out such a bad performance, maybe the players arent happy and decide to play shit? Credit to Valencia of course though, I dont follow them, but they werent that impressive when I watched them last like a month or so ago.
So this season will be nothing to look forward to now, and probably for the next few years actually, knowing the way our board is. Our squad needs a lot more work, and with not good manager in sight atm, and finally Zidane gonna boss with Real... depressing times ahead

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Kondogbia ansolutely unplayable today. Was getting Casemiro vibes out there. Reminds me of that one time W Carvalho made our who attack and midfield look silly for 90 mins
And to think Kondogbia would probably not have started had Parejo been available
So excited to hear what Setien has to say about Valencia, 26% possession 2 goals to none. Celado masterpiece
Valencia have been embarrassed in their last 3 games. What a time to bounce back
Griezmann
Arthur
FDJ
I would add Fati too but he shouldn't be playing from start against feeling Valencia away. Won't take long until Setien puts these kids in the stands. The race is too tight, he doesnt have the luxury to develop these kids

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Again, why fire your two-time-league-winning coach midseason when you're table-toppers and have just as good a chance as Madrid to win it, for a third time in a row no less?
All you had to do is wait 4 more months with Valverde then replace him at the end of the season with a proper, elite coach.
I can't really see you winning the league with this one, let alone the CL, which was the reason you fired Valverde for to begin with.

What decisions would you make if you could reshape Barca today?
off the top of my head
IN: Lautaro Martinez, Kante (or someone his type, more dynamic), Kimmich ( can't think of any RBs right now), De Ligt, Thiago Alcantara
OUT: Pique, Busquets, Roberto - urgently, also Rakitic
Ter Stegen
Kimmich Umtiti DeLigt Alba
Thiago Kante DeJong
Messi Lautaro Dembele
Interesting.
I would sell Messi or not renew his contract to free up massive wage space, I would keep Busquest as a rotation option and put FDJ as the DM, I would try and Get Salah/Mane or some other Goal scoring wide forward and also go for Lautaro as well.
For a RB I would keep Semedo. Agree with Pique but not sure you can get De Ligt for a while. His wages are insane. I would try to get KdB as well from City which is doable. He isn't on massive wages etc. Would also resign Thiago.
I would sell Dembele and resign Adam Traore as well.
I would sell Messi too but it's unrealistic

Didn't realize Kondogbia switched NTs.
Could've been a great option off the bench for the Euros.

Setien will probably start the antithesis of Tiki ball Vidal every game frol now on. Rip Arthur. Vidal is a real goal threat and keeps his passing to a bare minimum

Our board and Barto has nfi and we've known that for a long time though so, Im pretty sure most of us thought Valverde had to go in the summer and Barto kept him, says it all. Its just they doing even worst now to fire him mid season lol.

When Arsenal is a chore, Sevilla always reminds Jay that there is hope in life. Also, refereeing in La Liga is madness. Real utter madness (unlike the fake utter madness).
