I mean we'll try to make plays if we have a talent advantage... like against Valencia. In bigger games, we are and should be conservative.  We always have two midfielders behind the ball when we attack.  That's when you know that we're really play conservative defensively.

Courtois isn't good enough with the ball at his feet and coming off his line to play a higher line anyhow.  We have some limitations we need to compensate for.

In short, we don't just play one way. We adapt to our roster and our opponent. ZZ isn't an ideologue. He's a pragmatist.

Agreed. This was just a tournament to help with motivation and what not. The real trophies are yet to be won and I hope we don't get too affected by this in the long run.

So after watching the highlights the lack of creativity for the forwards is alarming as usual, Valverde miss was hilarious and his tackle on morata was top notch had to be done, no silly excuses for zz he is empowering the midfield too much they needs to pass to the forwards more and shoot less, too predictable in how the team attacks.

They're not capable of making the killer pass... don't have the talent. Nothing ZZ can do to lack of talent,.

Modric, Kroos nor Isco doesn't have the talent to make a killer pass? Hmm, alright.

They may have the talent, they just choose not to do it.

It's always a player making great runs, our mids see it, think about passing it, and then saying nah and passing it back to the defense.

Kroos only makes very specific passes... never threads the needle or sees that killer pass in the final third in traffic mainly because he doesn't have a repertoire of passes he can go to. He needs to set himself up in the one way he excels at.

Isco can make the pass...  but he lacks the vision of a CM.  His field of vision is too narrow.  He's often looking to make the dribble or shoot first.  Making the killer pass is his last instinct.

Modric is the best one.  But he's not a final third player.  ZZ is trying to make him one because he's the only that combines the instinct, skill and vision to potentially succeed at it.

So yeah, we lack the talent.  Hazard is the only one that is really known for making those reads and executing in the final third along with Benzema. It would be great to have a scorer to play with them. Regardless, we need midfield creativity.

Bruh cr was a tap in merchant and 90% of his runs he received a well timed pass, from these same players minus isco who is blind asf ever since he joined, Valverde tries to play the ball forward cause he hasn't picked up that habit yet either, people can complain about James technical ability all they want, he miles ahead of isco or any of the midfielder when it comes to picking a pass no matter the distance, Zz needs to let him play in his preferred position if he gonna let the likes of isco play as 10, isco has been recovered for like a 100 times as soon as he scores a 1 goal enough of that already.

can't keep blaming the forwards or excusing the players for not doing their jobs, if kroos can score from a corner kick and other tight angles then he can play a through ball, I don't give a damn about 95% passing from side to side, I like kroos-modric-case but they have been shooting too much and holding on the ball in midfield slowly creeping towards goal, the stupid media never calls them out or ask Zz about it, cause they want mbappe or any other hype forwards, so if mbappe joins and gets jovic type service are fans gonna trash him or the midfield?

This is the same midfield that just 2 years aga was being acknowledged as the best midfield in the world. We can acknowledged that at least 2 of them have gone down hill since then, but to say they don't have the talent is just a tad of exaggeration.
