Spanish Super Cup: Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid
Facing a real test before the league has even started Atleti are not Sevilla so we will look disjointed which is not a bad thing
This is a good game to test Kroos and how he copes with Atleti's heavy pressuring. I don't know how well he did vs Dortmund because I didn't pay particular attention to him but I doubt it was any good. Hope he can be s solution to that CDM so that we can finally let go of Alonso.
First training after the Fiorentina game and Ronaldo, Varane, Benzema and DiMaria worked in the gym. All should be ready for the game
This is the first time I genuinely don't know how Carlo will line up but I still predict a win

In terms of Kroos, despite being slow, he's clever tactically, which allows him to pick out a pass quickly while under pressure.

Will be tough, especially at the Calderon imo. However over two legs we should be able to win this if everything goes according to plan.
Will be interesting to see who plays

Re: Spanish Super Cup: Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid
Everyone back in training. Carlo should have a full squad to choose from tomorrow. Gonna be intetesting
No way he chooses a leaving player over a guy who is staying. 22 players including Pachecho and only 7 can be picked to sit on the bench. 3 players will be left out. I think one of them is a defender the rest midfielders.
We should know more in the press conference today

Press conference courtesy of good ol' Google translate
Looks like Iker will start LaLiga and CL too. Kroos is going to be a given in the starting line up I think
Goal: ". Iker will play tomorrow could be changes in goal in Friday's game, but now I think on Friday."
Di María: "I will not go into the subject Di Maria to keep the focus on tomorrow's game."
James: No it's missing anything. It has changed team mates, coach. we are satisfied with what you are doing. We will not ask for more, just get used to being with us. Nothing is missing. "
Diego López: ". Nobody has talked oust Diego Lopez has decided to change teams and there is no connection with the sport had two good goalkeepers last year and this year we have two good goalkeepers.".
Scheme: "We continue with the same pattern last year at certain times of the game anything can change, but the general idea is the same.".
Kroos'. Brings more quality to the team's experience in the field we have a better team than last year because there juagdores that will give more quality to the team, but now we have to work. "

Hope he doesn't start Pepe over Varane again, that bit is getting old, Vaarane has shaken his injury, and played well in the WC, I'm sick of hoofball tactics from Pepe.

Re: Spanish Super Cup: Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid
Carlo Ancelotti appeared before the media in the Ciudad Real Madrid press room. The Italian coach, who revealed that “Casillas will start”, analysed the first leg of the Supercup of Spain against Atlético in the Santiago Bernabéu:
“There are no favourites in this tie. It is a two-leg tie, 180 minutes, and we have to prepare well. The first match will not be decisive but we will try and take the lead and put in a good performance”
“Atlético have changed a little because they have signed some big players. Their style has not changed and it will be a difficult match, as it was last season. I am not going to play the same team in both matches. While some will play tomorrow, I’ll change it a little on Friday”.
The role of the fans
“There will be a fantastic atmosphere in the Santiago Bernabéu, as always, because it is a derby. The fans are all really excited and our fans will help us tomorrow in the first leg against Atlético”.
“WE HAVE A BETTER TEAM THAN LAST SEASON”.
“We’ve signed three players who are going to bring more quality to the team and so we have a better squad than last season, but in order to enjoy that quality we have to work hard. This week the competition starts and the team is ready. There are no injuries and everyone is available to play”.
The starting eleven in the first leg of the Supercup of Spain
“I still haven’t decided and I’m not going to say because I still haven’t told the players. Casillas will play in goal. Iker is doing well. Everyone is confident in him and we’ll see who plays in the upcoming matches”.
Kroos’ role
“He’s going to give us more quality and the ability to have possession and play more directly to the strikers. He also brings experience to the pitch”.
Happy with James
“Against Sevilla, he changed his normal position and he needs to get used to that. We are trying this position out and he has no problems, he just needs to get used to playing a bit deeper. He is not missing anything. There have been a lot of changes for him. We are very happy with what he is doing and we’re convinced of what he will do in the future”.
Di María’s situation
“He’s available like the rest. He may or may not start the match. I don’t know what he has decided. I just know that he’s training and ready for tomorrow’s match. It will stay the same until 31 August and then we’ll see if he stays or goes”.
A possible change of system
“In the midfield the attacking player has to be more dynamic, while the player who is closer to the centre-backs has to be tactically quick and move the ball quickly and decisively. I’m not thinking about changing the system. I’ll use the same system as last year. In a match I may change something, but just at particular points of the games”.
The Diego López transfer
“Nobody forced Diego López out. He decided to change teams and his exit is not for sporting reasons. Last year we have two good keepers and we do this year too”.

Re: Spanish Super Cup: Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid
According to Cadena Cope DiMaria will start on the bench while Khedira will be in the stands. If this is true then there is definitely a mole in our team they were right about the line up for the Sevilla game as well

I guess when we play James in midfield Coentrao will start. when the mid is more balanced Marcelo will start.

FT: 1-1
Di Maria should start next game. Made a difference when he came on. His wingplay is unmatched imo.

Carvajal, Marcelo and Kroos our best players imo. The rest were sub par. We need Di Maria or at least James or Isco in midfield. Kroos-Modric-xabi is too static

Re: Spanish Super Cup: Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid
Made a difference for like 5-10 minutes then tried pointless dribbles and turned into what he used to be on the RW.
Bale running to nowhere.
Benzema not doing much with the opportunities he had.
James giving away possession too easily.
Luckily those are things that can be fixed...I think.

i will never understand why bales get so much of the ball when he can't dribble to save his life or make an easy pass, but he runs fast and works out

Marcelo, who played as a left-back, was more of an attacking threat than Benzema, who played as a striker. That should tell sth about Benzema's performance tonight.
Even Pepe did more damage attacking wise than Benzema.

Re: Spanish Super Cup: Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid
anybody with eyes knows benzema didn't get any service none, but only clowns would line up to blame him, after watching cr and bale running in straight lines, turn overs and missing chances then ignore it all, to notice benzema and he was open a lot too no excuse, again marcelo did nothing stop pretending, pepe
