Sad thing is I am not even mad at him anymore. Its not his fault he is still at the club, has signed a lengthy new contract and is still getting picked in games.
Players like Jones, Lingard etc, they have shown the maximum they can do, having played over 100-200 games for this club, they have proven time and again they are pathetically poor footballers. Its the incompetency of the club for thinking they can still contribute for a club such as United.

Better than Luke Shaw already. Yesterday he was poor barring the goal, but so far overall he has been quite good in the games he has played.

He’s only started a single match this season, to be fair, and it’s because of all of your injuries. But yeah, it’s no secret that Man United’s bench, as well as their starters, have a lot of room for improvement. I’ve been reading about an incoming DoF for quite some time now. I wonder how far they’ve progressed in that area.

Nah Williams has 2 pl starts and has played in cups and EL. He was the Motm against Brighton in his first PL start. But ya I agree, as soon as Luke Shaw comes back he will be out the 18, let alone the 11.

The thing is its applicable to a lot many of our players. lol Brandon Williams came only cos of an injury to Shaw. Re: Jones, yea, but then again, there was Marcos Rojo whom Ole could have picked who eventho is equally lunatic is still twice the defender Jones is tbh. ]
They might be short on options, still that doesnt excuse Ole and the board for giving him a new contract last year. His contract was running out. It was the perfect opportunity to finally flush the moron out of the club. They didnt, so now they should live with the consequence of their mistakes.

Yeah, I don’t know how much of a hand Ole had in that renewal, but it was dumb. I suppose they needed a placeholder until they could bring in someone else, but the long contract extension still doesn’t make sense.
Rojo may be a headless chicken similarly to a younger Pepe, but career-wise, I think his biggest issue is that he’s so damn prone to getting injured. Hell, he isn’t even young anymore. He’s been on and off the treatment table for at least two years now. I would’ve preferred Tuanzebe over Rojo, but they’ve both been injured recently. I don’t know how fit they are at this moment.

Tuanzebe is higher than Jones in the pecking order for sure. But he was injured and wasnt deemed (I suppose) to start yesterday. Anyway now he is fit, he should be starting alongside Maguire. Lindelof has been utterly weak this season.

All the talk about Man U CB since, was wondering what everyone thought of Smalling going to Roma? Always thought he was one of the better defenders and didnt know why Man U sold him, and he seems to be doing very well there.

He was not first choice. Ole wanted him to stay I think. But the guy wanted to play. So he left. Glad he is doing well in Italy. I mean it was a given considering slowish the nature of the league there. He is a top player as a pure defender. Old school. I mean you cant expect him to play out of the back or anything like those modern defenders. But still, he is solid overall. Much much better than some of the trash we have got at our club.
Said that, I personally dont think we have done wrong by letting him go. As is the case with almost every player let go under Ole, its because we didnt find a proper replacement, we are going through the trouble (of having to contend with crap like Phil Jones. )

That's what you get for taking off your striker for a defensive midfielder, ten minutes before the game is over

So, has Newcastle been relegated beyond recognition yet? My dear friend Mole insists on this...

Sane is a massive miss for City tbh. They lack goals without Aguero.

Laporte missing has been fatal, yes, but with Sané they'd win these games 4-2 instead of drawing 2-2
It can also be noted of course, that Pep basically has benched Bernardo too, also among his best players.
Ultimately, Pep's one in a million elite coaching is responsibly for the team's strengths, but his perpetual selection idiocy and tactical headless chicken activism is also responsible for its weaknesses.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter II
If Liverpool win, and a 9-point gap is massive, it is still early December and EPL is far from over.
Liverpool have lost Fabinho, whom I regard as EPL's best DM. And they are still yet to play their difficult matches. With only 14/38 games played so far, we're still not even 40% into the league.

They've played most their difficult matches already. And Fab misses align with some easy fixtures so shouldn't impact them much City dropping points today should motivate them.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter II
People in England talk about Laporte like he is an elite CB. The guy was hardly exposed last season playing in a team that has 75% possession every game and defending well as a unit. Remember his brain farts against Spurs the ONLY match he got mildly pressed? Where Liverpool are winning with Dejan freaking Lovren, people attribute City losing to Laporte being injured
If Van Dijk is a Lamborghini Aventador, Laporte is the 10 year old Fiat Punto your cousin bought at a shady pawnbroker.

Didnt he also play both league games against them last season and kept a clean sheet in both? I mean sure you may not rate him highly but hes better then what City have now in the back.
