Didn't see our game today due to work, but the Fazio debacle aside, I can't say I'm terribly surprised. The other shoe was going to drop at some point. The energy levels weren't quite there and that final pass was definitely lacking.

With Basaksehir winning their match, they now top our group with 7 points. Us and BMG are on 5 and Wolfsberger have 4. Very tight group.

Unexpected bad results by Italian clubs in this EL
Lazio and Roma risk seriously to get knocked out from their group
It seems to be back those ugly years where Italian teams sucked in EL and that was the reason because Serie A had lost 4 CL places in favour of Bundesliga
then Serie A begun to "honour" EL but it was too late
Now Serie A could risk again if Ligue One get begins to get good results at same time , it seems difficult though

I don't see either being knocked out given both matches were of similar style last night, and thus very unfortunate for both teams despite them being the dominant ones yet the finishing touch and lack of acuity to perform under the final minutes is worry if I were a fan of the Roman clubs but they should be able to see it through with victories against the rest.

Ehh our next EL game is away in Istanbul, an absolute cauldron. That will be a stern test of the mentality Fonseca has built-into this team. We lose that one and we'll need to rely on BMG's result against Wolfsberger to decide if we move on or go out. So winning that game is absolutely crucial. I think this team can go far in the EL so it would be rough to go out like that.

Between now and then there's Parma and then an international break to see if we can get more of our injured players back. All signs point to us being in better shape by the time that game comes around.

Roma were also unlucky before of refs ( yesterday but especially on first leg with that atrocious pen on last minute) but Lazio damn, probably the massive disappointment in EL so far
3 matches on 4 lost in a group where you expected to win it ( considering they play good EL tournaments under Inzaghi) .. I like Celtic and I hope to see them good again as in O'Neill era but hell it's 2019 and I don't think it's really legal to lose against them twice in a year

This is a club that still believes that, and acts as if, the Europa League is beneath their level and not worthwile.
With that kind of attitude, the only way is downhill.

We did the same thing and it only helped us fall further down in terms of rebuilding, player interest and even league positions.
