Who do they think will score goals. Coached by Lampard no less. This season will be a nightmare for them.
Kneejerk BS if I ever read it
Today is a prime example how luck can change a game.
Chelsea created chances at will in the first half. Hit the crossbar twice.
Said it before the season started. Your post even reinforces my point. The created chances but who is gonna score them?
That front 4 has no consistent goals in them at all, no one in the chelsea squad does.
Please tell me about how you rate Abraham and Mount over any Juve players.
I will say that today's result is not in any way indicative or representative of how both teams will end up or what their actual quality is. I'm certain Chelsea will finish ahead of Utd.
Time will tell who's right, I guess.
As for your other point, that's a different matter and has nothing to do with this.
I do predict though that Jjuve will struggle this season because your management is doing blunder after blunder.

I'm sure Rashford, Lingard, Pogba etc are professional-minded, focused, mature and grounded enough to just continue working hard and not let it get into their heads

Lot of positives to take from the game;
Bissaka and Maguire look great
DDG clearly back to his best
Mctominay starting ahead of Matic and looking very good too
clean sheet and 4 goals against a top 4 rival

Precisely because United is crap this is a bigger blemish on Chelsea. Go ahead though, blame a 4-0 on luck.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Prologue
lolol. Didnt see this coming after the first half. Serious problems in some of our play but will just take this result and run as of now. Hopefully it was a matter of the opening match nerves against a direct rival and they will play much better next match, away to Wolves btw .
Maguire and Lindelof was a positive. Hope they build on. And Pogba I dont know how he cant maintain his focus throughout 90 minutes. Been giving some slack but its because like many of you, I am well aware how good a player he can be when he wants to be, its so frustrating.
Anyway, on to the next match. And re: Chelsea they will be fine. They were super unlucky today esp in the first half. The thing is these pretenders like Leicester and Everton and West Ham, they always find ways to bottle once an actual season unfolds after getting all hyped up at the start.

Mourinho on Sky is good. Really interesting to listen to.
I do think United will find Wolves much harder next Monday. A deep block and a more threatening front two they're not afraid to play direct to. Very different challenge to today.
Chelsea/Leicester looks really interesting, too. Two good midfields up against each other.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Prologue
quite obvious that Chelsea will not struggle so much during the season, looking at the first half. Lampard just needs to learn quickly on the job and make his team more mature.
Excited to see if any other team will come close to City this season like Liverpool did last year. Liverpool will need massive luck to do it again with injuries and form this season, considering almost all key attacking players had a very long last season and the first casualty was Alisson.

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Prologue
Mourinho is by far the best pundit to come out into the view in football, in the last year & a half.
To anyone who is surprised as at should take into account that free from his managerial responsibilities, he holds no agenda nor has a definitive reason to.
Very insightful, reflective without being too introspective and usually spot-on.
Combines superbly when with Wenger too, to whom the break has suited him and his mentality resoundingly well.

why would you do that? Laca is injured ffs.
I swear I remember choosing Auba and captaining him.
So here what happened, I wanted to choose and captain Auba, instead chose and captained Laca, Laca injured, didn't play single second, Sterling vice captain, earned whooping 40 points, first GW total 83

I was pleasantly surprised with Mourinho's presence at Sky as a pundit. Dude is a master troll.
How many teams, realistically, do you think can win the title?

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Prologue
It sounds like how La Liga used to be, where each club sells their own individual rights rather than the league itself selling the rights.
So Porto, Benfica and Sporting, being the most popular and therefore the most watched, can command the highest prices for their TV rights while, say, Rio Ave and Aves don't get a lot TV money because their followings are much smaller.
It leads to the big clubs staying big. Smaller clubs need money to grow and compete, but they can't get that money because their fanbase isn't big enough to justify being on TV all the time. Yet the only way for that fanbase to grow is to be successful, and to be successful... you get the idea.
A collective deal doesn't make everything equal, but it raise the base amount received. In La Liga, teams receiving as little as 1m were suddenly getting 15-20m. Huge difference.

Yeah makes sense,thanks
but Benfica TV had some broadcasting rights for some foreign competitions which sounds very strange
i thought for a second by not being centralized it means every club just broadcasting their own matches which would be odd
