VVD was great, but Kane was clearly unfit. His inclusion in the starting XI really doesn’t make much sense, considering how long he’s been out of action.

And tbh that penalty sealed the way this game was going to be played. We have a great defence so we only had to defend them good since we took the lead, not our fault Tottenham did nothing for 75 mins and the game turned out to be boring. Liverpool was criticized in the past because we continue to attack after taking the lead but not tonight, this is imo what you should do in a CL final after taking the lead, and Klopp did it well.

I'm not going to argue that it's dumb to have his arm up there. But that was ball to hand not hand to ball. He was gesturing to the defense, Mane smashes a ball into his arm and that's a penalty? This is the game we want?

It's equivalent to pump faking a shot and jumping into the defender. It's a perversion of the rules.

I guess the rules as they are currently written and the direction they're heading in say that's a pen, but I have been arguing against that for years. That should absolutely never be a pen.

I'm not saying the pen call was wrong necessarily, I'm saying the rules are terrible and we saw why the rules shouldn't be this way. Please return the rules to the original, which judges INTENT.
