Lazio doesn't have a very good team.

Patric and Luiz Felipe are some of the most banterous CBs in the league (after Juan Jesus of course), so they start with Wallace, Radu and Acerbi. Acerbi is their best defender, good player, but enough said that he is their most consistent one.

Lulic, Marusic, a 34 yo Parolo, Caicedo, Badelj, etc. too many OK or meh players. The only standouts are Immobile, Sergej, Correa and Luis Alberto (standout-ish).

He took Lazio to 5th twice (that Vecino goal where Inter took CL in the last day). Won a coppa, reached a final of another one (lost to Juve), won a supercup, made Lazio the best attack in the league. The results aren't incredible but the potential is clear, He minimizes Lazio's weaknesses and makes his players generally overperform. Luis Alberto, Acerbi, Immobile, Leiva, Sergej, Marusic all look better with him. I can see him being the next Allegri regardless of if he comes to Juve.

For incredible results the obvious answer is Gasperini. Pending tomorrow's results, he will have taken Atalanta twice to top 4 in his 3 seasons there. That's after his team gets gutted during each summer as well. He was also great for Genoa before. The problem is the experience in post-trebble Inter really burned him for the top clubs. So he had to take the long road and now he is back on everyone's radar.

Milan has a much worse squad and they are in front of Lazio. If I'm not mistaken, they won more points under Gattuso last year too.

I forgot about this and I don't think I have seen it here, but AGI, which is a national news agency, also said that Pep will be Juve's next coach. From what I read, Juve asked them to backtrack it because they were only reporting what others have said and they replied with nope, we have our sources, too.

In other news, we will probably get Demiral (CB) from Sassuolo.

Inzaghi beat Milan by some 10 points last season, the season prior they beat Milan too.

Milan has a better team on paper as well, the entire GK and backline of Milan benches Lazio's. The midfield is closer. Only in Attack Lazio wins and even then it's not by much. Lazio is too handicapped by their defense and wingbacks.

As someone who watched like 30 games of Lazio last season, i say yes Inzaghi overrachieved. He's a great motivator and a good analysis of in-game situations.

But this year the progression stalled. I would not be mad if we appoint him but as i read he was not even considered. So i rule him out by default.

Gattuso started only at the end of November 2017 and, for the rest of the season, they won more points than Lazio.

The only Milan players that would start in Lazio's team would be Donaruma, Romagnoli (not over Acerbi, though), Higuain/Piatek and Paqueta, who was good for 5 games until his legs left him. Maybe Calabria.

Milan's midfield is nowhere near Lazio's. I'm not even a fan of Milan and I can't stand Kessie and Bakayoko.

Same feelings for me. It's not my first pick, but who I think we will appoint. I hope Chelsea is mad enough to sack Sarri.
